Rodney King Dead at 47
"Birth Of A Nation" - A documentary about the '92 LA Riots
the award winning low budget documentary "Birth Of A Nation 4*29*1992" about the LA riot that occurred after the Rodney King trial. Directed by Matthew McDaniel.
Rodney King, the man who was at the center of the Los Angeles police brutality case that later sparked the Los Angeles riots has died, according to ABC News Los Angeles station KABC.
He was 47.
Suzanne Wickman, a representative for King confirmed to KABC that Rodney King passed away Sunday.
He was home and found by his fiancee. His cause of the death has not been released, according to KABC.

Something tells me they're getting ready to throw some really big parties any time now. DHS just spent 450 million on party favors... they've got, flying Pinatas, cameras everywhere to memorialize how much fun we'll be having. Should be a blast.

I read on many sites today that Rodney was a man who was pulled over for speeding and was beaten after the traffic stop. I remember a high speed chase on the highway and residential neighbor hoods. Anyone else remember any of the facts?

I was there too. James & Holly, our paths might have crossed. Too bad we didn't know each other back then. Yep, quite a party, my work decided to give us time off. I'll never forget the tanks and Natl Guard on Ventura Blvd.
Kinda makes you wonder...he dies right after the 20th anniversary and right after he writes a book.
