Food Storage 101

Ask yourself this question- In an emegency do you want to stand in a soup line?

Why Have Food Storage:
This has been the subject of my studies for about 20 or more years now, and just like yesterday it still fascinates me to no end.

I have a lovely family of 4 children all grown now, but when they were young I started out by trying to find ways to feed and care for them on a strict budget, because I had a frugal husband at the time.

However in time, what I learned is probably the most important information a person could have in a time of crisis. With my knowledge and the help of some very wise individuals who helped me understand the importance of storing, and completing a food storage plan, I got into storing a years supply of food for my family for security.

Throughout my years of reading and studying about different storeable foods I can help you plan the best food storage program for the best prices.

I have read many books on the subject, attended many a lectures all pertaining to food storage. I have come to learn exactly what's needed to know in order to begin. I have taught many classes on the subject and organized Family Preparedness fairs that were a huge success!

What I have found in most cases is that most people really do understand the importance of storing food, but they just don't know where to begin and/or are overwhelmed with the idea of where to start . There are some very hard and fast rules in storing foods, some of this information will save you a lot of time and money if followed correctly.

I will be breaking this down as simply as I can, teaching you ways to store food for you and your loved ones, as cost effective as possible.

I must stress to anyone interested in embarking on such a task to be open minded about this and not think it's just for them crazy Mormons, Mountain people or Militia's. Storing food is not paranoid, it's just smart!

The best way to think about it is like you do with insurance.

Do you have insurance?
So you pay your insurance, be it Home, Auto, or Health, you pay, yearly/weekly/bi weekly right? It's a high priority for the "JUST IN CASE scenario." But at the end of the year after paying you didn't die, get injured or have auto accident, but in the case something did happen to you, it was there for you right and I'm sure you were so glad you were covered weren't you?

Well food storage should be thought of in that same manner. It will be there for you when you need it and if you don't need it, unlike your insurance policy you can eat it all up and replace it when needed and if you do need it, then you and your loved one's don't starve to death in an emergency situation or disaster!

Nothing lost in my opinion, as you would have with a paid insurance policy. Food storage is security just like that insurance policy, it gives you peace of mind if the "JUST IN CASE!"

Most of us have been very fortunate with abundance, most of us have not had to look into our children's eyes and tell them "sorry, but there just isn't any food to eat!" Sorry would hardly be appropriate, I'm sure you would ever want to utter those words.

In the wake of 911 and the current economic crisis our wealthy nation is all of the sudden going through, we should use history to teach and educate us on reality. Reality is we do not know for certain that we will always have food, we will always have an abundance and we can always feed our family. People all over are losing job's and the future is uncertain to many of us, but it doesn't have to be now while we still have plenty.

During the great depression, food was money, food was a matter of life and death because there were no jobs, there was no money. Farmers can not grow their massive crops, infrastructure can come to a screeching halt in days and then what?

Storing food is economical sound and smart as a way to INSURE you and your families are taking care of no matter how dire the situation or current events are. And the most beautiful thing about it is, if you store foods you normally eat, and nothing does happens to upset your way of life, then you have lost nothing at all! Instead you probably saved yourself a ton of money in the long run, because in my 52 years of life, I have never seen any food prices go down, instead they have continually grown each and ever year.

In conclusion I can see nothing at fault in storing food it is simply the smartest and most sound investment you will ever make for you and your loved one's.

Well, I don't think their plans are going to be confounded. They appear to be making great inroads. I don't think we have the same perceptions though. Chipped people and all that isn't what's on their mind.

They'll do away with money eventually, they're already starting to eliminate checks, they'll subjugate all countries and they're already doing so in Iraq and Afghanistan. They already completed the subjugation of America, Canada and every other developed nation. They discussing carbon tax, global internet tax and more. I think people are looking for Martial Law type stuff and biometric chips and stuff. That's all unlikely. They have the militarized police already, they've moved forward quite a bit but most of the NWO stuff is very, very subtle.

By the way, even though we disagree on some unimportant (to me) issues we certainly agree on the fundamentals.

And yes, sometimes we're all entertaining. Life's really about laughing, in between the messes and chaos.

How else do you bring in the NWO?

Well, right out in the open I would think, as is happening all around us. The Supreme Court issued a ruling today giving corporations, and that includes foreign based US corporations, the right to spend money on political campaigns reversing a 100 year legal precedent. We are in Afghanistan and Iraq and the corporations will follow us there. We have bases in 1000 locations across the globe. We're preparing the people for a campaign against Iran. We're conducting a covert campaign against Venezuela and we still, after 60+ years are embargoing Cuba. There's talk within global entities such as the World Bank and WHO of establishing a global tax, various types, to raise funds for global entities to police the globes states. There will eventually be carbon taxes. The NWO is being ushered in right out in the open. They aren't scared of the people. We're the herd.

Jeff- I don't know about "fantasies" but I think we're pretty entertaining... (((LOL)))
To be honest with you, half of me agrees with you... but on the other hand how else would you bring in the New World Order??? I tend to go with Gerald Celente... "Current Events form Future Trends"

Armageddon, according to scripture is brought about a 1000 years after the end of Tribulation. Why? I don't know... but scripture says that Yahshuah (The Salvation of Yahweh) releases Satan from captivity and brings Satan's armies of both spiritual and physical together for a final battle with him... Yahshuah wins... Satan is done away with.... Enternity begins.

It seemed like a LOT of money at the time ($200) and it will probably taste like...dirt? But having a few weeks worth of emergency rations to feed my wife and I "should it become necessary" will be worth more than all the money I made last year and more..... Then she might start believing me on the need for all this "survival" and "counter-culture" stuff ;)

You guys are entertaining fantasies and remind me of Mad Max. Nothing of the sort is going to happen but very, very slowly our world is changing.

I don't anticipate a car accident but I do have car insurance and I don't expect a food shortage but do have some food stored.

Greg Evensen has been predicting the very same thing for years. It never happens and never will. That guy is crazy.

This Armageddon you speak of, what sets it off?

Anybody who is able to hold up where you can bake bread, I'll offer my arms and security service to... (((

Gary Rea- you are so correct... so correct I hope I run into you out there! You'll know me when you see me... I look like a Texican, I carry a CZ 52 left side reversed, black Katana, and either SKS w/ folding or Tapco collapsible stock/ black.

Ya just never know... but you're right in what you're saying... what else can it come down to? Nothing!
Then, there will be the wacko bullies who are going to prey on the weak, and that's the part I think I hate the most. I really hate bullies, so much... that I just can't stand down when I see them picking on somebody... so there I go!

God,, all I really ever wanted to do is play music create a huge party scene help people have a great time... why does all this S*!T have to happen now???
