The long ordeal of Fouad al-Rabiah, an innocent man and a 50-year-old father of four, who had been in US custody for almost exactly eight years, finally came to an end today, when he was flown back to his homeland of Kuwait from Guantánamo, where he had spent the majority of those lost years, after several brutal months in US custody in Afghanistan.
Until the moment of his release, everything about his treatment at the hands of the US government was…

Why George Soros is after IMF gold
commodityonline.com
By David Lew
Gold reserves held by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is again in the news, this time thanks to American billionaire financier George Soros. Soros has suggested that IMF should dispose of some $100 billion out of its gold reserves to spend on green loans in carbon-cutting projects to the developing countries.
Really wonderful…

Homeland Security to study bioweapons in Boston subway
Source: Bio Prep Watch
The U.S. Homeland Security Department has announced that it will release harmless gases and dye tracers into Boston's subway system next week to study the circulation of airborne contaminants through public transit networks in the event of a biological or chemical attack.
The planned study, which will examine how both smoke and airborne toxins move throughout the transit system, is expected to…

The Independent
By Johann Hari
Dubai was meant to be a Middle-Eastern Shangri-La, a glittering monument to Arab enterprise and western capitalism. But as hard times arrive in the city state that rose from the desert sands, an uglier story is emerging. Johann Hari… Continue

I have seen things on TV (mainstream media) about these credit report things. They are saying that if your credit report is bad the slim chances for you to land in a new job. This is really messed up, and I wish employers would stop reading credit reports and start hiring and let that person with bad credit fix the credit problems they have had in the past. This is the main reason why the unemployment rate is skyrocketing from 30 to 50% and Christmas is very tight. And this is why many…

the
UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark as he is going to commit the US to significant reductions in Carbon Dioxide emissions by what is left of the manufacturing industries in our country.
He will be doing this to the great acclaim of the rest of the world's delegates as he will be hoping to use this to pressure the US Senate to pass the Cap and Trade Bill that will add a new tax to everything we use in our daily…

Excuse my language, like James I'm a pissed off former democrat, more pissed off than former.
Admittedly, this is another very long post. NO ONE posts about the financial doings of the elite in this country because few people even understand what's going on. They know something's wrong but they just haven't a clue what it is.
But Matt Taibbi calls it like it is. Obama's a fucking liar. These people that rule the roost are all fucking liars. They're cannibals feasting on…

The decision to escalate Afghanistan War should put the final nail in the coffin of "change" and "hope" that Democrats and others crawled into when they supported Obama. The evidence that Obama is every bit the representative of the corporate oligarchy and no less a corporate shill than the rest has been mounting for nearly a year-or well before the election for the cognoscenti. Only fanatics could have heard Obama's speech on Afghanistan and failed to hear the resonances of Bush. But the…

The other day, I wrote about how
carbon credits will be the new bubble machine in town.
Companies will need to have carbon credits in order to pollute, but the new carbon credit market is virtually identical to the under-regulated, over-leveraged market that allowed Goldman Sachs to rake in record profits, while taxpayers bailed out the financial…

I will
not believe that anyone here at this site had anything to do with this.... I would also at least like to believe that the Islamic faith is populated by millions of people who want for peace....that being said....
Anyone still want to believe that Islam and Muslims want anything but completely utter world domination by violence???
These photos were taken at an Isalmic rally in London-- verify this yourself by going to Google Images...…

WND battles double-barreled threats to American sovereignty
Two of the biggest threats to America - the unprecedented global power grab currently under way in Copenhagen under the pretext of "global warming," and the ongoing infiltration and subversion of American government by dangerous Islamist radicals - are the focus of major legal challenges by WorldNetDaily.
"The outcome of these two legal battles will affect the lives of every one of our readers," said WND's CEO Joseph…

I've been listening to various discussions, on the radio, or rather not discussions but exchanges of firmly held non-negotiable views, about Obama and his speech on Afghanistan. No one seems fully satisfied.
Those who support Obama's decision to send 30,000 more troops mostly dislike the announced pull-out of all American troops from Afghanistan after eighteen months, though since the speech was delivered, that promise has been glossed by Secretary Gates and others. Admiral Mullen,…

The Met Office has embarked on an urgent exercise to bolster the reputation of climate-change science after the furore over stolen e-mails.
More than 1,700 scientists have agreed to sign a statementdefending the "professional integrity" of global warming research. They were responding to a round-robin request from the Met Office, which has spent four days collecting signatures. The initiative is a sign of how worried it is that e-mails stolen from the University of East Anglia are…

Shriners are well known for their "Shriner Circus" where they claim to raise money for their burn hospitals. In June, 1986, a daily newspaper in Florida, the Orlando Sentinel reported that less than 2% of the circus money raised actually went to the hospitals and that, by 1982, the Shriners had become the richest charity in America, amassing $1.2 billion in assets. Of the $17.5 million raised in 1984, $17.3 million went into their own pockets while only $182,051 went to support the hospitals.…

Using the revolt against Real ID as a model, can states rights activists stop Obamacare?
In response to what some opponents see as a Congress that doesn't represent their interests, State Legislators are looking to the nearly forgotten American political tradition of
nullification as a way to reject any potential national health care program that may be coming from…
