Genetically modified foods are getting a lot of press these days, especially in California where Proposition 37, the labeling of GMO foods, will be on the November 6th Election Day ballot. Why is the GMO industry so upset about having GM foods labeled? Could it be if consumers knew what GMOs are capable of doing not only to the environment but also to the human body, they would not purchase them, as happened in many countries, especially the European Union?

I am trying very hard to do just a you are talking about. I am able to grow some of my own food, i.e. chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, guineas, rabbits and soon a piglet and milk cow. Fruit trees, onions, garlic, and wild herbs. Wood burning stove, and a well. I am able to sell and trade some of my produce for money and help out others at the same time. It works out great!

If only we could get our sustenance; food, water and health, from the nature. My ideal is to have a place where to grow all my food without having to poison myself with industrial food products. It is also good to support those who still grow clean and natural food, by buying their products.

Very much agree with you. The damage done will never in any of our lifetimes be understood or destroyed.

I personally had to deal with a form of infertility, my mother was given some type of drug during her pregnancy that effected me.

When I was around 18, I started my monthly cycle and never quit, I bled for about a month and then one morning I got out of bed and all my blood flushed out of my body and I hit the floor. I woke up in the hospital with people putting all kinds of IV's in me. Was scheduled for an exploratory surgery the next day. It took place and the doctors told me that they could find nothing to explain what had happened to me. But were able to tell me that my right fallopian tube was blocked off and that the other one was well on its way to doing the same thing. If I wanted to have any children I should do so pretty quick. I waited six years.

Skip forward to today my daughter had one son and can not seem to get pregnant again.

I feel that it is something to do with the meds that they gave my mom.

Companies developing genetically corrupted plants and animals are bioterrorists causing irreversible damage to the biosphere.

Once genetically corrupted DNA is released there is no way to take it back, it will continue to damage the balance of nature for ever. Only total destruction of life on earth, wiping out all life, and replanting genetically intact seeds could solve the problem of genetic corruption. All understand that this is not a viable solution. Therefore, we are indefinitely stuck with the genetically corrupted DNA in the biosphere.

GMO companies must be sued for the crimes they have done. As the damage is immeasurable, all the companies involved in the genetic corruption must be closed immediately and all their assets confiscated. Also all people guilty of genetic corruption of plants, bacteria, viruses, insects or animals must be detained, their crimes investigated and punished.
