The Reason Americans Will (Not) Fight Back Against the Corruption and Criminality - Unless

We have the keys of our prison cell and the shackles in our hands. We can open the mental  locks paralyzing us and walk away. Being cornered we need to realize that there is no other alternative than to fight back. Let's not let them put the noose around our neck, because that would be final.

"Why won’t America stand up for herself? Why is the country, once a country which possessed courage and conviction sitting idly by and allowing itself to be taken to the slaughter without so much as a whimper?

The answer to the above question lies in the psychological concept known as Learned Helplessness as discovered by Martin Seligman.

“Learned helplessness occurs when an animal is repeatedly subjected to an aversive stimulus that it cannot escape. Eventually, the animal will stop trying to avoid the stimulus and behave as if it is utterly helpless to change the situation. Even when opportunities to escape are presented, this learned helplessness will prevent any action.

People where im from just self-censor themselves all the time in order to fit in among people who arent worth even throwing shoes at and if you criticize what ever within our small country people automatically starts to defend it like it was them under attack.

You are correct DTOM!

I still discuss what I know with others, but pick and choose my battles. However, I don't discuss much of anything with substance with my family back home anymore. They already thought I was nuts before but when I start talking anything conspiracy related with them, they shut down and dismiss me as being paranoid and just on the verge of a mental breakdown! Oh, and btw... my parents/step parents are all still die hard democrats. That should explain a lot right there.

So how can you unlearn your own family? I find it near impossible and stopped trying long ago. Unfortunately, there are things in life that we truly have no control over. And if anyone has the answer to this, I have open ears ;)

I think one of the key factors in this, is that people have been terrified to discuss anything with others, for fear of ridicule, socially shunned or being suppressed.

The worse things get, the more people fear they have nothing left to lose, the more outspoken they become, the more they find they are not alone in their thoughts and so change begins

Yes indoctrination and herd mentality has done severe damage on peoples minds throughout generations now and simple tests/experiments can prove it. If the majority starts to do a action soon the rest will follow (monkey see monkey do)........so sad. Imagine how Galileo must have felt and was being treated. Lets stop acting like amoebas.
