Twitter: The Elimination of Language(Original Content)

#Attentiontoallimbecilesthisisnothowyouexpressyourthoughts! Yes; I know spell check, its a run-on sentence, but it is this type of gibberish that's promoted on the short messaging service known as Twitter. This, like many other communication mediums, has become a covert assassination on speech. In the foreword of the book 140 Characters: A Style Guide for The Short Form, Jack Dorsey(co-founder of Twitter) states:
What you’re holding in your hands is a set of guidelines. A collection of protocols which describe an  approach to another protocol, something we call Twitter The amazing thing about this particular protocol is that it’s being defined daily. By you. Twitter was inspired by the concepts of immediacy, transparency, and approachability, and created by the guiding principles of simplicity, constraint, and craftsmanship. We started small. We built something out of love and a desire to see it flourish throughout the world. We defined a mere 1 percent of what Twitter is today. The remaining 99 percent has been, and will continue to be, created by the millions of people who make this medium their own, tweet by tweet.I leave you now in the capable hands of a documentarian, storyteller, and practitioner of a new protocol of communication.  Listen, learn, and most importantly, define it for yourself.                                                                                                                                                                 Twitter is the brainchild of Jack Dorsey(who is an aforementioned co-founder), Evan Williams, and Biz Stone. It all started with Jack Dorsey proposing idea about how an SMS service, can be used, to with a small group. The prototype of the first Twitter was introduced on July 16th,2006 and as of the next year it started to flourish. In 2007, tweets(the short messages that are sent) metastasized to 400,000 per quarter, then 100 million tweets per quarter by the next year, and 50 million tweets per day by 2010. Currently, there are 600 million people on Twitter bearing over 200 million tweets and managing over 1.6 billion search queries per day. All this commotion and hoopla and we don't know the etymology of the word Twitter! Well; in a interview with WYNC, he explains the where he came up with the word twitter: Dorsey said: "One of the guys who was helping us build and create the system, Noah Glass, took the word Twitch, and he went down the dictionary. And we all looked at the Oxford English dictionary at the T-W’s, and we found the word Twitter. And Twitter means a short inconsequential burst of information, chirps from birds. And we were like, that describes exactly what we’re doing here." Jack Dorsey is also famous for declaring, "One could change the world with 140 characters." Why did Jack put emphasis on limiting the number of characters necessary to transmit one's thoughts? The idea is simple: To turn the populace into docile, obtuse, indignant, and ignorant shills...limiting their ideologies, ethics, and emotions. Jack's statement was really pretext for controlling not one--but every one's  dialect. Twitters symbolism and composition has an ominous ambiance behind it: Its the antecedent of Newspeak --as seen in George Orwells' 1984-- and the progeny of the behavior modification program named Project Bluebird. A seemingly convivial communication project is really a smoke-screen to debilitate and paralyze the public.
Traditionally, Bluebirds are a symbol of contentment, love, admiration, and spring, but there is nothing amorous, or august about the CIA's first behavior modification program entitled Project Bluebird. Project Bluebird was initiated in 1949, then was taken over by Project Artichoke in 1950, finally becoming Project MK ULTRA in 1953. The primary goal of the projects were to refine and mold a persons thinking and human behavior for espionage, misappropriation of information, and global politics. The installation of mind control happened in Nazi Germany. In the Nazi ideology, they had a term called Weltenshunkrieg, or World View Warfare. The Nazi's intentions were to implement there way of thinking upon the countries they were inhabiting. America later adapted the virulent scheme and re-named it Psychological Warfare. The basis for Psychological Warfare is simple: To use propaganda or other psychological methods to stupefy, undermine, and weaken the enemy or adversary. To ensure the success of this new weapon, The United States of America introduced Nazi and Fascist scientists from Germany; this came to be known as Project Paperclip. Yes, your government was and still is involved in nefarious attempts to take over your mind, body, and soul, just ask Harry Truman(33rd President of The United States) who authorized in 1946 for Adolf Hitler's top scientists to come here. Approximately 1400 scientists came over from Germany; 600 mind scientists and 700 propulsion scientists.  During the MK ULTRA experiments, individuals were subject to electric shock, insulin shock, drugs and other means of testing. Military personnel were chosen as the first guinea pigs to be experimented on, as they were given LSD and PCP without there approval. The examinees experienced enforced insomnia, starvation, repetition of sounds, and massive shock treatment. Also, the experimental subjects were placed in dark rooms(ah yes, the origin or solitary confinement) and forced to listen to recorded phrases 24 hours a day to destroy thinking patterns(think television). So, do you think the experiment had a favorable outcome...of course it did! They still shape how we eat, talk, feel, perceive, and ponder. Twitter is one of those things that is shaping how we talk, and how we express ourselves. According to Websters New World Dictionary, the term brainwashing means to, "Indoctrinate so intensively and thoroughly as to effect a radical transformation of beliefs and mental attitudes." Mankind's mentality before Twitter did not sum up a complete sentence with one moronic hash tag. Twitter is engineered to stunt the youth's growth. H.G Wells said it best: "This World Youth movement claims to represent and affect the politico-social activities of a grand total of forty million adherents - under the age of thirty...It may play an important and increasing role in the consolidation of a new world order." Oh trust me H.G it has! The "order" that the elite want to establish includes narrow-minded, parochial, credulous, human-beings; this starts by restricting how one can articulate. A mighty tongue is more beneficial than twenty billion guns when a spiritual and psychological warfare is being waged--the powers that be know this all to well. The experiments of MK ULTRA exhibit how an enemy of the state--a critical thinking homo sapien--can be controlled through means of experimentation. Human Interactions can, will, and still are controlled in a surreptitious manner. The destruction of language is eloquently portrayed in George Orwells' novel 1984. The name of the language used  in Orwells' book is called Newspeak. The basic idea behind Newspeak is to remove all semblance of meaning from language, leaving simple phrases, (goodthink and crimethink) that calcify the totalitarian State. Is that not what Twitter is doing?
1984 by George Orwell is a blueprint of what an authoritarian society can look like; in many ways a harbinger to what we now see today. Orwell is also infamous for his essay entitled Politics and the English Language. In this disquisition, he laments about the plight of the English language.Orwell was conscious of the fact that the deterioration of language is not the plight of the writers alone, but all of humanity. Orwell states:
It becomes ugly and inaccurate because our thoughts are foolish, but the slovenliness of our language makes it easier for us to have foolish thoughts. The point is that the process is reversible. Modern English, especially written English, is full of bad habits which spread by imitation and which can be avoided if one is willing to take the necessary trouble. If one gets rid of these habits one can think more clearly, and to think clearly is a necessary first step toward political regeneration: so that the fight against bad English is not frivolous and is not the exclusive concern of professional writers.

Orwell allegations are authentic, but he would--or would he-- be surprised at the parallels between Newspeak and Twitter. For example, in Newspeak lingo bellyfeel means means a blind, enthusiastic acceptance of an idea. In comparison, on Twitter, all you have to do is put a hashtag before a phrase for it to constitute a meaning. A Twitter post by anonymous prepubescent boy states, "Me trying to become a vegan= #epic #fail when I took an #epic #nomnom out the that bagel! They are made with egg yolks lol. I tried :-)"....verbatim this is what he said...so asinine! (1) Nobody ever can be an "epic" fail(fail is a verb) because the act of failing is called failure(a noun), so you would be an "epic failure", not an epic fail! (2) Where in the blue hell is the punctuation...whatever happened to syntax rules? Its not the boys fault though, he's been inseminated with those horrible habits. I can't comprehend what that means, nor will I attempt to. In the great words of Samuel L Jackson, "English, m**#^#$@&***, do you speak it?" Don't get it twisted, my statements are not referring to those who are illegal or legal immigrants, I'm referring to those petulant adults who are mad at the Nigerian refugee who has mastered the English language in two weeks! Don't bemoan their acumen, be mad at the media, social networking sites, the education system, and other who are culpable. Then--this really makes me laugh-- people have the nerve to tell them that they can't understand them and go back to your country like this douche bag:

Spell check anyone...I never knew grrr was a word.... I also applaud his use of the interrobang( assuming he knows what that means). This guy should probably blame his teachers, or his parents, or Twitter for bringing about his putrid spelling. As my main man Malcolm would say, "Ya been took! Ya been hoodwinked! Bamboozled! Led Astray! Run Amok! This is what he does..." So true Malcolm, so true! The man(bankers, media heads, I think you get the point) uses all types of weapons to disengage you from being satiated with the proper information. Why would you think Twitter is any different? Please, my people, wake up and burn that iron curtain that is obstructing your view of the world. Love the World, Love each other, Love yourself!

Hmmm, twitter???? twit def: an offensive term that deliberately insults somebody's commonsense or consideration for others, (slang insult). That's not too far off the mark right? I think I'll leave the tweeting for the birds. I've never used it and never will.

It reminds me of how nowadays, most anybody that has a cellphone feels compelled to text message you rather than speak to you via voice. It drives me mad. Not only do they send random, nonsensical and fragmented sentences to me but they also jack up my bill. I'm almost forced into buying the unlimited text messaging because of this. Why is it so hard to talk to each other human to human anymore? It seems so impersonal to me. Twitter, Facebook, text messaging are all guilty of dumbing many down and yes.... it is the "elimination of language." What a bunch of twits :)

Cool! I had it written for a while on my blog, but just decided to post it today. I'm glad we had parallels...good to know people are thinking alike.
