In response to the threat of a possible attack on US forces by Iran, the US military decided to send additional firepower to the Middle East, an area of responsibility overseen by US Central Command.
This includes an aircraft carrier with a full carrier air wing, one cruiser, four destroyers, and a group of heavy bombers.
The US has said it will respond to any Iranian attack on US interests with "unrelenting force."

The US military is sending a carrier strike group and a bomber task force to the Middle East as a show of force to Iran. There is a ton of firepower heading that way.

The USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group, which consists of the carrier and its powerful carrier air wing, as well as one cruiser and four destroyers, is moving into the region with an unspecified number of B-52 Stratofortress heavy long-range bombers, according to US Central Command.

These assets, according to US Central Command, are being deployed in response to "clear indications that Iranian and Iranian proxy forces were making preparations to possibly attack US forces in the region." This is in addition to strategic assets already in the area.

Adm. John Richardson, the chief of naval operations, previously described aircraft carriers as "tremendous expression of US national power." A carrier strike group is an even stronger message. "CSGs are visible and powerful symbols of U.S. commitment and resolve," US European Command said in a statement on Tuesday.

The USS Abraham Lincoln, a mobile sea-based airfield, is the lead ship for the carrier strike group that bears its name and is outfitted with a highly capable carrier air wing.

Carrier air wing: fighters, electronic-attack aircraft, early-warning aircraft, and rotary aircraft

Carrier Air Wing Seven consists of F/A-18 Super Hornets, EA-18G Growler electronic-attack aircraft, E-2 Hawkeye early-warning aircraft, and a number of rotary aircraft from multiple squadrons capable of carrying out a variety of operational tasks.

Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruisers are multi-role warships that run heavily armed with 122 vertical-launch-system (VLS) cells capable of carrying everything from Tomahawk land-attack cruise missiles to surface-to-air missiles and anti-submarine-warfare rockets.

Like the larger cruisers, destroyers are also multi-mission vessels. Armed with 90 to 96 VLS cells, these ships have air-and-missile defense capabilities, as well as land-attack abilities.

Early in the Trump presidency, two US Navy destroyers devastated Shayrat Airbase with 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles to punish the Syrian regime in the aftermath of a chemical-weapons attack.

The B-52 is a subsonic high-altitude bomber capable of carrying nuclear and conventional payloads. These hard-hitting aircraft can carry up to 70,000 pounds of varied ordnance and can be deployed to carry out various missions, including strategic attack, close air support, air interdiction, and offensive counter-air and maritime operations.

You can thank fucking Obama for all this shit when he started a new nuclear treaty with Iran giving them 150 billion with interest and allowing them to keep producing nuclear fuel with their centrifuges! There was already a non-nuclear proliferation treaty since 1987 under Reagan! Obama violated sanctions already in place giving Iran money to begin funding their war efforts again! If Iran develops their nuclear missiles and they have already launched those than they will hold the world hostage over their nuclear weapons! This shit will not go away ignored it will only get worse! CAN ANYBODY SAY ARMAGEDDON?

All I know is that 2 British commandos were caught by Iraqi police back 2012 there were driving around shooting their weapons and throwing hand grenades from a Jeep. After being arrested the British showed up at the Iraqi jail with tanks and told the Iraqi police, " we want those two Limey soldiers!"

The WMD controversy solved after Bush ordered the invasion of Iraq the 2nd time they said their were no Weapons of Mass Destruction found so the President was accused of staging an unnecessary war. After the conflict as over and a troop withdrawal was underway. US Army munitions experts uncovered buried artillery shells full of Saren Nerve Gas. Even the technicians who uncovered and disarmed the shells ended up being sick with nerve gas that was leaking. I have a friend who served in that corps as a Captain yes they were discovered yes it happened. He was even wounded by shrapnel from a previous operation. Why did Karl Rove tell the GOP to drop the matter when it would have exonerated our reasons for being there at least partially?

Iran is the largest supporter of terrorism in the world. They produce 70% of the IED's that have killed or wounded US troops, they constantly scream death to Israel and death to the US, they harass US shipping, they fired a missile at a US Aircraft Carrier, in violation of UN regulations they launched intermediate missiles after Obama gave them 150 billion dollars, they captured US Naval seamen who had broken down in open waters, they also kept an American Christian Pastor in prison and tortured for more than 5 years, Obama never made an effort to negotiate for his release either.

Why wouldn't Israel be paranoid their tiny nation surrounded by hostile Muslim nations who have attacked them twice in the 20th Century while Iran constantly threatens to destroy them while producing their own nuclear material? HAMAS just launched 400 rickets at Israel.

All these events are true they are not fabrications. They are not false flags! The Palestinians could have had their own territory years ago under Clinton! Israel allowed him to negotiate a peace settlement with Yasser Arafat, the Israeli Army had Arafat cornered and could easily have moved in captured and executed the fucker but they backed off and let him go! What did Arafat do? He refused to accept a negotiation with Israel for a Palestinian State! Why, because these fuckers care more about power than they do peace! The Palestinians will never stop! Give them land and they will say they want Israel's land too! These fuckers do not deal with common sense and neither do most of the Arab countries! They live 600 years in the past trying to settle old scores! They are vindictive and of an ancient cloth that only understands and respects force! It seems simplistic but I know I've spoken with a lot of Arabs and Muslims and they will readily admit it. Why? One major reason lack of education and brainwashing from the time they are born!
