A tall plume of smoke was rising from the area where the standoff occurred. Hundreds of law enforcement personnel swooped down on the site near Big Bear following the gun battles between Dorner and officers that broke out in the snow-covered mountains where the fugitive had been eluding a massive manhunt since his truck was found burning in the area late last week.

Permalink Reply by oldranger_68 on February 12, 2013 at 8:54pm No real time news allowed. Cabin catches fire after tear gas allegedly shot into building. No fire trucks allowed to come close until building starts collapsing. No real time news allowed. No real time news allowed. Did I mention that no real time news was allowed. Go on liberals. Make me look like a theorist but, did you notice, no real time news allowed?
And, in the event no one noticed, the police are one big family and we're never invited to their picnics.
The only thing I'm sorry about is that it was a Sheriffs deputy who got killed rather than another city cop.

The man believed to be fugitive ex-cop Christopher Dorner never came out of a California mountain cabin, and a single shot was heard inside before the cabin was engulfed in flames, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.
The law enforcement official requested anonymity because of the ongoing investigation.
