Hold on to your seats folks but I am the owner of a nearly 200ft ex military vessel that was actually used to test and develop the VOSS skimming system and the day of the spill I was in contact with B P. and registered my ship and told I would be among the first larger ships to be contracted due to her history and abilities.never actually talked to anyone in person after that call . then I saw this guy .Francois Vorster of Super Suck international on msnbc check out the website at supersuckinternational.com . got to go to work now i will tell more later .

(PreventDisease) – More Than Half World’s Oxygen May Be At Risk Due To Oil Pollution of Ocean’s Benthic Zone

Marine biomes cover 75% of the earth’s surface and have an enormous impact on our planet’s climate. In the benthic zone, these biomes supply more than half of the world’s oxygen. As a consequence of the BP oil disaster, scientists are very concerned about the global oxygen supply if this layer of the ocean becomes saturated with contaminates of oil and other toxins. It’s official — the oil plumes USF scientists found deep underwater in the Gulf are definitely from the BP blowout.

(AFP) – BP accused of trying to silence science on spill

The head of the American Association of Professors accused BP Friday of trying to buy the silence of scientists and academics to protect itself after the Gulf oil spill, in a BBC interview.

“This is really one huge corporation trying to buy faculty silence in a comprehensive way,” said Cary Nelson. Read More Here

(TheNation) – BP Hires Prison Labor to Clean Up Spill While Coastal Residents Struggle

In the first few days after BP’s Deepwater Horizon wellhead exploded, spewing crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico, cleanup workers could be seen on Louisiana beaches wearing scarlet pants and white t-shirts with the words “Inmate Labor” printed in large red block letters. Coastal residents, many of whom had just seen their livelihoods disappear, expressed outrage at community meetings; why should BP be using cheap or free prison labor when so many people were desperate for work? The outfits disappeared overnight. Read More Here

(Truthout) – BP’s Scheme to Swindle the “Small People” – Dahr Jamail

Gulf Coast fishermen and others with lost income claims against BP are outraged by a recent announcement that the $20 billion government-administered claim fund will subtract money they earn by working on the cleanup effort from any future damage claims against BP. This move, according to lawyers in Louisiana working on behalf of Louisiana fishermen and others affected by the BP oil disaster, contradicts an earlier BP statement in which the company promised it would do no such thing. Halliburton profit soars 83% in Q2 –Before the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon rig on April 20, Halliburton was hired by BP to seal the Macondo well before it blew up. 19 Jul 2010 US oil giant Halliburton says its second-quarter profit has jumped 83 percent, despite because of the company’s involvement in the Gulf of Mexico oil spill volcano. Amazingly, there is not as much mindless prattle about the problem on this blog as others. For everyone concerned please do not listen to anything by Matt Simmons as he is absolutely clueless about the problem and has created unwarranted hysteria. I am a petroleum engineer and have drilled oil & gas wells for over 30 years and have actually been on the rig floor taking a kick.

For the record the problem occurred because we have a generation of engineers that have been managed by accountants. When the accountants took over raises, promotions and bonuses have all been based upon cutting costs rather than producing oil without killing people. We now have engineers that think their job is to cut costs. In short, this is what caused the disaster without going into extensive detail technical detail.

Just to clarify some misconceptions. A "top kill" is never easy is the best of circumstances and under theses conditions was a waste of time. The "bottom kill" from the relief wells will work and has been performed 100's of times. It really doesn't matter if the casing is split, the weighted fluid will work. The main problem is how long before they intercept the old wellbore. Trying to hit a target 8 1/2" wide 2 1/2 miles away in the dark isn't easy.
