I watched a video this morning about people around and on Wall Street. As the masses moved along the street, some having been there the whole time, chanting slogans and carrying signs, the ones above on the balconies drank champagne, smiled and held up their glass to the crowds below. All the reports I watched made this their prime focus. My first thought was how sad for the ones on the balconies! They are the ones left to draw away the attention of the public. They will be the so called sacrificial lambs. We are being tricked again, you could say by slight of hand. As our attention is shifted to the ones they have purposely left out in the open," they" will exit stage left, do not be fooled they are already on the move to safer grounds, or at least making hasty plans, and last minute inspections of facilities created for their protection from the sweat of our labor, we have sent them millions of dollars to construct these "safe" facilities. Do you think any of us commoners will be invited into our own property, no, I don't think so. We need to stay focused and vigilant. WE CAN NOT BE FOOLED THIS TIME!
This is f****g ridiculous!
Protesters were told they will be allowed to return to the park in several hours, but without their property, which will be brought to a sanitation garage.
Some protesters have left but a large number have stayed behind. They chanted at police, "Whose park, our park."
Police began moving closer to the remaining protesters who refused to leave the park, and dismantled tents, throwing them on to a pile with other debris.
A recorded announcement continues to play on loop, telling protesters they must temporarily vacate the park.
Sanitation workers then moved in to remove debris from the park and place them on the sidewalk.
Police commissioner Ray Kelly was on the scene monitoring developments.
There have been no confrontations so far. http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/Occupy-Wall-Street-Protests-Sw...
