OKLAHOMA: ANY amount of Marijuana found in your system can put you behind bars

OKLAHOMA CITY — Governor Mary Fallin just approved an amendment to House Bill 1441 that could take some drivers by surprise. The sub-section deals with the definition “under the influence.” What’s new, is that the wording now says that any amount of a Schedule 1 drug like Marijuana found in your system can put you behind bars if you’re driving.

Officials can find those trace amounts in your body fluids. Now the wording includes metabolites, which are part of the breakdown of many substances. Attorney Charles Sifers said with alcohol there is set number of .08. With this law, there is no specific number.

“In this instance any amount of Schedule 1, or any metabolite from Schedule 1, presumes you under the influence.”

Obama Administration Has Spent Nearly $300 Million Cracking Down On...

The report calculates the total amount of federal spending on medical marijuana intervention at $289 million over Obama's four-and-a-half years in the White House. According to the analysis, the Drug Enforcement Administration alone spent 4 percent of its budget in 2011 and 2012 cracking down on medical marijuana across 20 states.

With all of the marijuana related horror stories I have heard coming out of Oklahoma - I have one word of advice for all of my fellow herb-lovers in that state: MOVE. Go to one of the states like Colorado or Washington, that has legalized the blessed herb.

You might have to start over but it`s better than being an inmate slaving in a prison factory for 13 cents an hour.

Here in BC Canada the fragrant herb is extremely popular.  I have great sympathy for people in redneck states like Oklahoma. These are `red states` with lots of phoney``Christians`` ...   ... they all forgot to read the part of the Bible where Jesus teaches us to be loving and forgiving, if we are to be forgiven and allowed to enter heaven.

Peace to all.

she is just feeding the corporate private prison system, ask her what commision she gets for each inmate she sends to jail

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin must not have heard that insurance companies in states with legal marijujana have found that high drivers have less accidents. The Bookies have Spoken! What's she doing to save the children, get the high-accident drunks and straights off the road, no go after the low-accident masters of the high way. How ignorant can politicians be?
