I do not know what is happening here, yet even though population per capita has increased exponentially there seems to be a shocking amount of deaths at the hands of law enforcement. Our tax money.. should not be paying those who are supposed to serve and protect us if they are allowed to beat us or shoot us. Now I know there are justifiable and rational explanations to some situations, I am far from unreasonable, yet there seems to be far too many where the ends do not justify the means. Far too many to be honest. It scares the life out of me not sure about you.
I am showing the information found on the web site listed seems from 1889 to 2009 there were a reported 133 civilian deaths by law enforcement. in 2009 there were 64 deaths.. and well after that it is getting horrible. in 2010 it climbed to 90 and 2011 2012 2013

the rise in deficit I believe is corruption as well I believe that the rise in LeO related public deaths end in the result of corruption in law enforcement i am now getting first hand experience in this area and there is no such thing is civil rights and proper legal representation.. at least no one out here where live are entitle to it.. our youth ask for lawyers and are denied.. railroaded into a confession and once that happens no one is treated fairly.. just locked up and treated like animals..
I agree, it's beyond out-of-hand. Thanks Linda, sharing this.
well I should have said as a parallel.. the number of deaths in previous years was way lower like our national deficit.. and as with each different set of numbers the years pass and each of them soar to higher numbers than ever thought possible.. just seems odd that they both seem to be huge.. I do know that each family is not having as many births per household..as they did in the 1800's there is little need so much is able to keep us well... but now we have heart and cancer to take us early,, instead of the threat of natural or infectious disease.. so very much has changed who do we trust,,??
Haha - thanks God they're not that high Linda! In time, all in time...
just like our soaring deficit
killing spree... not sure reelection? maybe? not looking good for the upcoming years though,, getting much worse since oBama got in office...
Shocking statistics Linda... what happened in 2012? 736!!
for those who do not like to read statistics here is a breakdown annually ::: years not mentioned had zero (0) reported deaths. even taking into account for population increase.. this still is a dramatic increase in civilian deaths per capita. some one please I know the corruption is out of control.. but if people do not look into statistics they will never know how real the chance of them being killed by law is..IT IS VERY REAL.

People want to blame the patriot act on the rise of law enforcement killing citizens
I am not sure this is the correlation considering the rise of deaths did not increase dramatically until 2008 and from then forward there is a significant rise in police killing citizens.. WHY??? i think a new agenda came in with president Obama and the martial law enforcement is being utilized and people will either be killed or thrown in prison. I know the rise of arrests are on the upswing.. for some fairly dumb stuff as well as the laws are now seemingly stritch without reasoning for many minor offenses.. where murder isnt so stiff.. hhhmmm okay life with out early for good behavior..
ok
