I misead Tara's last post. For some reason I thought she was posting about the Holocaust Memorial Director arrested for who was arrested for possession of child porn when he brought his computer in for virus removal.

Funny how we didn't hear much about this scandal:

MONTREAL – It was only when Bill Surkis sent his computer to a repair shop to check for a virus that police were notified of suspicious videos on his hard drive.

Based on that evidence, the former regional director of B’nai Brith in Quebec was charged Friday with two counts relating to the possession and accessing of child pornography between July and November, 2008.

Surkis, 69, who was also the academic dean of John Abbott College for 22 years, and the executive director of the Holocaust Memorial Centre, spent the night in jail before being released with a long list of conditions Friday afternoon.

He is forbidden from being in the presence of minors or in any park or playground where minors congregate. It was not clear whether this condition also applies to his own grandchildren.

He is forbidden from using his computer or any other equipment to access the Internet except for work purposes, and he is barred from going to Internet cafés.

Surkis has been working recently as a political consultant.

And he was ordered to give up his passport and remain in Quebec unless given written permission by the prosecutor.

Surkis’s lawyer, Steven Slimovitch, said his client was very upset by the charges.

“He understands how serious the accusation is,” Slimovitch said. “We will not make light of this.”

If found guilty, Surkis will face a mandatory minimum sentence of 14 days and a maximum sentence of five years in jail.

Isnt' it funny that out of all the labels they have thrown at the guy, now he's a child pornographer to boot! I mean, WTF is wrong with this picture? It's not that I condone everything that Brunn stands for but the guy was 88 years old, what kind of threat could he be to anybody?

They've told us he's anti-semetic, anti-fed, pro-gun, racist, neonazi, criminal, 911 truther and now a child pornographer.....hmmmmm, let me think.....

Something to consider:

There was a book written on the "threat" of white supremacy/right wing extremism entitled "Blood Politics" right before all of these shootings began. The author of the book, Leonard "Lenny" Zeskin", started a PR tour to right around the same time as the abortion doctor was killed.

What do they think we are, fucking stupid?!?

Here's more information on this Lenny Zeskin character:

He is the president of an organization (Institute for Research & Education on Human Rights) which doesn't appear to exist anywhere but in news articles on the internet.

What favorable timing, then, for Leonard Zeskind's "Blood and Politics: The History of the White Nationalist Movement From the Margins to the Mainstream," which addresses all of these issues, provides a context in which to assess them and offers an extended look inside a little-understood cultural zone that is really a panoply of small groups.

Unless you too resent ZOG (the Zionist Occupation Government), Zeskind's decades-long perspective will help explain why, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, there were 926 hate groups active in the United States last year -- a 4% increase from the previous year but representing a 50% increase since 2000. Leonard Zeskind owes Kansas City an apology. A big, fat one. The mischievous Zeskind has bamboozled The Kansas City Star and The Jewish Chronicle into believing his prattle about the "abyss of mayhem and murder" America faces at the hands of its "white nationalists." And in the process, he has scared thousands of otherwise sane Kansas Citians half to death.

Zeskind is a so-called "watchdog," Kansas City’s most celebrated, the winner of a $295,000 McArthur "genius grant," the preferred source on racial issues for papers like The Star and The Jewish Chronicle and political organizations like the Mainstream Coalition. Over the last decade, in fact, no fewer than ten different Star writers have gotten Zeskind’s breathless take on everything from Pat Buchanan to the Ku Klux Klan. Star reporter Judy Thomas has herself gone to the well with Zeskind in at least eight articles. Even the otherwise savvy Bill Tammeus has praised Zeskind as an "expert on extremist groups."

Yet for all his expertise, the Amazing Zeskind has chosen to keep mum about certain hard-core extremist groups of his acquaintance. And with good reason. He himself has carried their banners.

In 1978, Zeskind penned an article for the journal, Urgent Tasks, titled "Workplace Struggles in Kansas City." In the article, Zeskind talks about the value of a grass roots "school of communism," one conceived "to destroy the marketplace, not sell at it." The journal, by the way, took its title from a quote by Lenin. Not John. Vladimir Ilyich. In a 1980 article for the same journal, Zeskind denounced the American military "as a tool of U.S. Imperialism."

In 1981 Bruce Rodgers, the current editor of The KC Pitch, profiled Zeskind in a City Magazine article on radical activism. He describes Zeskind as elusive, paranoid, "near hysterical." As to Zeskind’s beloved STO, says Rodgers, "They surface on occasion to distract and intimidate non-violent groups working for social change."

How Zeskind would transform himself from a feckless neo-Stalinist into a lion of Kansas City society is one of those great, only-in-America kind of success stories. To understand it, however, we need to make a quick detour to Mother Russia.

The opening of the Soviet vaults and the release of the decrypted Venona files has revealed whole new bags of KGB dirty tricks. A favored Russki prank was to send racist threats to high profile groups and attribute those threats to the Jewish Defense League, the John Birch Society or other right wing organizations. As British author Mark Shields notes in his study of the Mitrohkin files, the Soviets hoped "to weaken the internal cohesion of the United States and undermine its international reputation by inciting race hatred."

Back home, our local Marxists were playing much the same game. In 1979 the game got out of hand when the Communist Worker’s Party (CWP) provoked a lethal shoot-out with the increasingly absurd Ku Klux Klan. In its aftermath many of these groups, and others more innocuous, united to form the National Anti-Klan Network (NAKN). In 1982 the radical publication Workers Vanguard described the NAKN as a loose coaltion of Southern ministers and "the remnants of the pro-Peking Stalinists."

In 1986, as Laird Wilcox notes, "the NAKN changed its name to the Center for Democratic Renewal (CDR), perhaps in an attempt to blur its radical roots." At that time, Leonard Zeskind was listed as its "director of research." Despite his affection for totalitarian governments, Zeskind was now presenting himself to Kansas City’s Jewish community as a fearless champion of civil rights, "the target of a number of anti-Semitic racist groups." In 1989, The Jewish Chronicle naively praised him as "one of America’s leading Nazi hunters."

Apparently, Zeskind came to the task well armed. According to a 1991 issue of Details magazine, "Lenny" was the proud owner of a shotgun and a Mini .14, "the far right’s weapon of choice," and was hoping for a 9mm handgun for his next birthday.

FBI: Child porn on accused museum shooter computer

WASHINGTON – Child pornography was found on a computer belonging to the white supremacist charged with shooting and killing a security guard at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, the FBI said in court documents.

Agents found the material on a desktop computer seized from the Annapolis, Md., apartment where 88-year-old James von Brunn lived with his son and son's finacee, FBI Special Agent Ronald Farnsworth said in an affidavit filed Wednesday in support of a search warrant. Investigators searched the home last Thursday, taking more than 30 items, including ammunition, computers, thumb drives, CDs, memory cards, cell phones and videos.

Authorities will analyze who had access to the computer to determine whether the pornography was von Brunn's, or if it could have belonged to someone else, prosecutors said. No decisions on charges have been made.

The documents didn't say what form the pornography was in, or how much of it was there.

In separate documents filed on Wednesday, the FBI said it found 35 rounds of .22-caliber ammunition in a search last Thursday of von Brunn's car, which was parked outside of the Washington, D.C., museum during the shooting a day earlier.

Investigators said they also found a notebook in the car with handwritten notes saying, "The Holocaust is a lie. Obama was created by Jews. Obama does what his Jew owners tell him to do. Jews captured America's money. Jews control the mass media."

Von Brunn faces murder charges in the death of Stephen T. Johns and remains hospitalized after being hit in the face by guards who returned fire.

The FBI has said he is likely to survive. A hearing is set for Monday for an update on his condition. No date has been set for von Brunn's initial court appearance

One man had never fired a gun in the line of duty, and for the other it had been more than 25 years. But when the moment came Wednesday in the entryway to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, neither hesitated: Harry Weeks and Jason McCuiston drew their side arms and dropped James W. von Brunn in a hail of gunfire, authorities say.

McCuiston said they don't know which of the eight rounds law enforcement sources have said the two men got off struck von Brunn in the head: "Neither one of us knows, and neither one of us wants to know."

Not only are guns illegal in D.C. but this man was a convicted felon so as usual gun laws don't stop jack, they just make the yuppies and soccer mom's feel warm a fuzzy. As i said before I'm betting this guy will have gotten said rifle from a gun show.

Now about gun shows... there are millions of unregistered guns and by making gun shows and private sales illegal WILL DO ZERO TO STOP ANYTHING but law abiding citizens from trading or selling guns. If they pass such a law the felon can still buy one of millions of unregistered guns and no one will know or care for that matter. Gun laws are useless even more so than the drug laws.

I am confused aren't guns illegal in D.C. ? I though that all of those gun laws were supposed to stop all gun crimes !!! and make the world a safer place ;; or maybe that was Hilter that said that ....... gee how did it work out for the polish , german ,jews etc
