Incredibly this short, sad and poignant film exposing the demise and breakdown of anti-child abuse activist Bill Maloney is heart wrenching to see a man of his statue hit the pits of depression like this...
Those who have stood back in admiration or ore and wondered where did Maloney get such bravado and stamina from? And in his own words, he has; ‘...fought millions of Mike Tyson’s...” and ‘battle long and hard’, - will wonder what’s happened to fighter Bill?
He made the decision to share this very personal and sensitive film to allow viewers to experience the reality of the consequences of child abuse. As a strong world-wide activist against institutional child abuse, it shows that a 57 year old man who has been in a loving marriage for 37 years and a supportive parent of an educated and cherished adult daughter can still be tragically and emotionally shredded by an abusive childhood.
Those who know about Bill Maloney will know he has worked tirelessly trying to expose child abuse and paedophiles over the years in numerous films and via his own company called Pie n Mash films, one of his best is Sun, Sea & Satan.
“Jimmy Savile your Cunt!” Is what Bill has to say to the ghost of paedophile Sir Jimmy Savile, the ‘cunt’ goes out to all of those who knew him and helped cover-up for him over decades of continuous abuse.
He calls many people 'pricks' for just sitting on their arses and not doing anything about it.
Not sure if he has put himself in the right sort of situation, which is perhaps excessive doses of sentimental and emotional music, alongside alcohol and weed, it which he shows the viewer he is clearly bang on, though to be fair, as he says himself; many abused people 'self medicate' at times of need, which sadly leads to a lifetime of addiction in many cases.
He breaksdown as the tears flow on his cheeks, and it would take even the hardest of person to not be able to feel for Bill, you can clearly see the man in going through an emotional trauma and could be on the verge of a breakdown if he doesn’t pull himself together soon. The longer this kind of lifestyle goes on, the longer and harder it can be to recover from.
His enemies, and he has many out there, as he has pissed off enough of those in our corrupt governments and their related bodies and agencies in general, - will be delighted to see Bill in this state of mind and condition.
Though after all Bill is ‘just a man’, and that most people like him sadly get defeated as it’s a David verses Goliath battle whom activists like Maloney are up against. They have millions of pounds of taxpayer’s money to take on the likes of Maloney, whereas Bill has to fund and rely on others helping him make his films that no TV media company would ever dare make, and bring the truth to the ordinary man, women and child on the street.
People like Bill Maloney need our support, he’s a strong man and we hope to see him soon back to his old self again. Meanwhile we send our best wishes to Bill and his family, - why not send him a message and show him your encouragement.
The world needs more Bill Maloney’s, as without them - the “abuse” would be 1000s of times worst, as there would be no out there exposing these wrongs in the first place!
A hard-hitting emotionally charged 60 min documentary by Bill Maloney (Award winning independent film director) who's family were all brought up in the UK care system.
It covers Maloney's visit and interpretation of Jersey, Channel Islands, following the ongoing child abuse investigations of the children's care home 'Haut de la Garenne'. It highlights connections with the Sea Cadets and children being brought from London care homes for 'sailing holidays' on the Island. The documentary contains strong language and strong opinions.
Due to his and his family's experiences of Establishment care homes Maloney felt compelled to see first hand the response of Islanders to the alleged abuse claims and their general feeling for the Governing States. A mixed response of silence, anger and insensitivity is catalogued from this island of geographical beauty with an ugly underbelly. The film includes mainstream news reports with Jeremy Paxman, Stuart Syvret, Lenny Harper, Esther Rantzen and Frank Walker.
It is the opinion of Bill Maloney that if a child was required - Haut de la Garenne was the venue; if an adult was required - St Saviours Mental Hospital was the venue.
