Jane Kleeb, the Democratic Party leader, said that as part of a meeting on March 18, staff donated about 50 baskets of items to Lutheran Family Services and the Refugee Empowerment Center. Along with baby formula, flatware and dishware, the party included voter registration forms and letters from Kleeb explaining what it means to be a Democrat.

“There is nothing illegal about what we did,” she said, adding that the form clearly explains that only citizens are eligible to vote. The intention, she said, was to familiarize refugees with the registration process.

“We wanted to let refugees know that the Democratic Party welcomes them,” she said.

Right... Handing someone who isn't eligible to vote (and who is new to the country, and therefore can't be expected to understand who is or isn't eligible to vote) a voter registration form is just a sign of welcoming them...

In fact, it's an invitation to commit a crime. I wonder what the same party representatives would say if someone else gave them an assault rifle and instructions on how to use it to kill people - much the same thing, hand them something they're not allowed to use...
