SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!!!

Why anyone would want to attend the Super Bowl this year is beyond me. I am not a fan of football, but even if I was, I would not want to be subjected to the security measures that will be in place this year.

For example, there will be beefed up security on the Transit System around New Jersey according to a Reuters report. Concerns that a bombing might happen like the one in Russia just before the Sochi Olympics has law enforcement officials worried it could happen before or during the Super Bowl game. The Superintendent of  the New Jersey State Police had this to say about it:

"Of particular concern to us is what was going on overseas in Volgograd in regard to the Sochi Olympics. As you know both of those bombings were targeting mass transit, ... That is a concern with the mass transit; we've prepared ourselves for it.

Of course we can also see this in light of Rahm Imanuel's statement concerning the opportunity to exploit a crisis to push agendas:

"You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."- Rahm Emanuel

Since authorities are expecting as many as 30,000 spectators to arrive by bus and train, they will be screening at the train stations and checking to make sure fans have tickets in order to gain entry. Fans will not be able to bring large bags into the stadium and women's purses will be rejected if they are not small enough according to security standards.

There will be 4,000 security officers on hand and the screening at the stadium will include metal detectors and pat downs.

Also according to the Reuters article, authorities are worried about a 'Lone Wolf' style attack that could take place during the game. The Superintendent had this to say:

"There was a lot of focus on the lone wolf, the 'backpack left unsecured' scenarios, so we're prepared."

Of course it seems these measures would be enough, but according to Tom Nolan, chairman of the criminal justice department at the State University of New York in Plattsburgh, there is never any guarantee of 100% safety:

"No amount of technology or deployment of resources and 21st century technology is going to guarantee under all circumstances that something terrible cannot happen, ... You have to accept some degree of risk and you have to accept a new level of intrusion into your privacy."

Notice that these mouth pieces for big brother always say we have to be ready to give up more privacy in order to be safe.

And if the pat downs and metal detectors are not enough, then there will also be snipers situated in the stadium to keep fans safe as well! That's right I said snipers!

According to my9nj.com:

SWAT teams and Snipers will be attending Super Bowl XLVIII. The reason for such high precautions is because the Super Bowl is a level one national security event.
Former FBI agent Jonathan Gilliam explains how snipers work in coordination with SWAT teams to give the fans and players ultimate safety.
“If you have an active shooter or you have anyone who may have a bomb. Snipers have a better angle then anyone who is on the ground to actually hit that target. It’s an entire team that communicates. You have individuals who are at high altitudes inside the arena and then you have individuals that are on the ground moving in and around the crowd,” he explained.

Reporters gathered around in the News video in the article are talking about how glad they are to see snipers at the stadium to keep us safe. It reminded me of  reality show or a night time episode of NCIS. More propaganda....

Now, just in case the snipers, pat downs and metal detectors as well as the 4,000 security officers are still not enough, there will be Black Hawk Helicopters circling the Stadium as well!

According to CBS News, the Helicopters will be enforcing a 10 no fly radius around the Stadium. There will also be agents from the Department of Homeland Security with Radiation detection devices, and bomb-sniffing dogs.

Yet, if anything should be able to get through all of that, then comes the F-16 fighter jets!!!

Fox News NY had this report:

..if a hostile aircraft enters restricted air space near MetLife stadium, New Jersey Air National Guard F-16s based in Atlantic City will be scrambled.Colonel Brad Everman of the 177th Fighter Wing said his pilots have been training for months and are prepared to secure the skies above the big game."It's not necessarily a hostile aircraft. It could be someone who is lost. It could be someone who had aircraft issues and is simply trying to fly a flight path they think is safest. So there's not necessarily a presumption of hostility," Col. Everman says. But, he says they will be ready if a hostile aircraft enters the space.

Wow..... Too bad the Embassy at Benghazi didn't have this type of security.... things might have turned out differently.

My Country tiz of thee, sweet land of tyranny, of thee I sing... WTF??? There should be a boycott of this Superbowl but it won't happen. Many Football fans will choose instant gratification for the beloved team over their inalienable rights as free citizens under the Constitution. Something is bad wrong here.
