Today's rant: Police state. First and foremost, a cop is not your friend.

Today's rant: Police state.

Tonight, I've been looking around YouTube, which is typical for me. And I've come to some rather interesting conclusions. Now, remarkably, I wasn't picking fights with pedophile worshipers as I usually do. Instead I was looking up things regarding America turning into a Police State. Kinda like Nazi Germany. So pay close attention to what I'm about to tell you. And any lawyer will be able to confirm my findings.

First and foremost, a cop is not your friend. When they put on that uniform, they are no longer on your side. Their motivations are different - ranging from anything like quota guidelines to some penile urge to bully - but whatever the cause, they're most certainly not operating with your best interests at heart.

If you're certain you have committed no crime, keep the following in mind.

1) A cop is not your friend. In fact, they're barely above a hostile force.
2) Never answer any question. Don't even say, "I'm not gonna answer that." Say nothing except the following:
"Have I committed a crime?"
"Am I free to go?"
"What is your name and badge number?"
"Please remain at a respectable distance, you're menacing me." Be sure to use the word 'menacing'.
3) Don't even answer if they ask you what day it is. The instant you answer any single question, no matter how innocuous it may be, you've just waived your rights. And from that point forward, you are legally obligated to answer any question they pose to you.
4) Never consent to a search of any of your property. Inside, outside, perimeter, nothing. Tell them "I do NOT consent to a search by any method or means." But do not answer any questions.
5) Wherever possible, record via video, anything said and done. Use a phone, camcorder, whatever. Always cover your ass. YOU are in the right, and they are NOT your friend.

There is a lot of stress on not answering because, if you remember, "Anything you say can and will be used against you..." Not for you. Against you.

But most importantly, do not be belligerent about it. You come off cocky, they'll make your life hell. Be respectful. Be firm. Be steady. Do not stutter or let your eyes dart around. Don't shake. But be firm in your resolve, no matter how much it'll eat you up inside.

Recent times tell me that law enforcement isn't what it once was. They are not on your side. They do not protect and serve. They instead intimidate, bully, and seize power that does not belong to them.

Stand your ground.

(Repost addendum) Forgot another point:
If in a traffic situation, never - NEVER - get belligerent and tell them to go get a warrant. That gives them probable cause, and they can then do as they please.

Unless, however, it is regarding your home. In your home, you have rule. Then you CAN tell them to go get a warrant.

I live in one of the states of Australia, in my vehicle glove box I have a few copies of the Police Powers and Authority Act and the regulations regarding being asked for identification when stopped. If by chance I am approached and they just say this is a random breath test and do not ask for identification I will comply, drink drivers are a curse on the roads. However if I am pulled over for any reason other than them alleging I have committed a traffic or criminal offence and they ask for identification I pass them a sheet with the laws and regulations on them and politely ask them to read it before proceeding, I also point out my dash cam is on and recording, both sound and vision. Once I get to that stage they usually fish around for a reason to look closer and demand identification or they tell me I am free to go. Never get annoyed or angry, stand your ground, if they persist ask for their details, ask them to call a supervisor or shift sergeant and again answer nothing directly, put the onus on them. Am I being detained? Am I under caution or arrest? Am I free to go if no to those? When they allege something and go to write a ticket cooperate, let them see your licence, say nothing and rely on the recording you are making to challenge it immediately by choosing the not guilty option on the ticket. Make them prove it, you are not obliged to disprove it and not obliged to assist them in their own case by answering any questions except the most basic, your name and date of birth and home address. If it gets to court you have solid evidence that nothing was done by you, that the ticket is vexatious and that you were exercising your rights, nothing more and nothing less. Everyone doing this will clog the courts up, make the revenue raised from the tickets not worth the cost or expense of proving it in court, overwhelm them with work, take police off the streets to have to come to court and give evidence, exercise your right to question your accuser, if the ticket is a speed or red light camera their case fails right there, they cannot produce your accuser in court, case dismissed. Above all else, never back down but be firm yet polite.

I believe they are intentionally pitting the police against the people. If the people don't oppose it will be a totalitarian rule á la Stalin, Hitler and Mao. If the people resist they will try to provoke a controlled stampede and mass killing.

My son has the distinction of being the first person arrested in our town for violating the city ordinance outlawing skateboarding on public streets or sidewalks. He was 11 years old and less than 100 feet from our yard. The pig refused to let him get his mom (I was inside the house)He cried all the way to jail, where they fingerprinted him. I had to pick him up after they scared him to death. They ended up having to drop the case. I rubbed it in their faces that they couldn't try a juvenile in municipal court. Juvenile court wouldn't touch it because they are a state court that doesn't touch city ordinances. So I never heard of another kid being arrested for skateboarding, and if there was one, they had to drop that case too. Since then I raised my kids knowing cops are not their friends. Every bit of this blog was drilled into their heads, and I even made them watch videos about not talking to cops. I've told them a thousand times -"You have the right to remain silent even if the cop doesn't remind you of that"
