The Final Days of a Failed Presidency

Never could it have been demonstrated more succinctly that there was something horribly wrong with our political system than when an E-Verify inquiry filed on President Obama failed. This routine method of establishing the legal citizenship of a prospective applicant for employment is used through out all states in the US, but our very own president failed the background check. This inquiry was carried out by a Housewife who ran a small business out of her own household was quite surprised when the Secret Service showed up at her home shortly after. Why? Obviously there was no threat to the Commander in Chief, but apparently there was a threat to the uncovering of his identity. The vetting process had surely failed.

Recipient of intimidation

Pastor James Manning of Brooklyn, New York who has operated a church for decades was also visited by the US Secret Service after broadcasting on a number of You Tube videos that he did not agree with President Obama's policies and at the same time warned Americans that the controversial background and ideological leanings of the president were a threat to the nation. In a society where Black Lives Matter can march down the street calling for death to the police and the New Black Panthers can break federal law and threaten voters at a polling facility Pastor Manning was met and threatened by Secret Service Agents because he criticized the president. Excuse me, but is the First Amendment of our Constitution guaranteed only to Democrat supporters? Is this not evidence of fascism in our political system? It appears to be so.

Of questionable pretense

A president, whom many charge had one of his own underlings, Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter, award him with the Distinguished Public Service Medal at a joint armed services base in Virginia seems an amazing egocentric move. President Obama did not serve in the military nor does it appear he did much more than create racial divisiveness, refuse to lead the US with sound fiscal policy, and allowed millions of illegal aliens and unvetted refugees over our borders in the last eight years making it very bizarre that he would qualify as a good candidate for the Distinguished Public Service Medal. Yet, these are the hallowed last days of the Obama White House.

Blood spilled

Once again as police officers all over the US are being gunned down with impunity by criminals who feel emboldened by the President's reticent public statements concerning those who would violently demonstrate in our cities and has implied on several occasions that law enforcement in cities such as Cambridge have acted “Stupidly” before ever reviewing the facts concerning arrests or investigations, it would be no stretch of the imagination to say that Barack Obama has blood on his hands. Is this not a most fitting tribute for a so called “Legacy” by which to judge the final days of the administration by?

True determination

With the constant collusion of the US mainstream media at his beck and call, President Obama will be ensured a most undeserving place in history over his final days as news of his accomplishments far exceeds any of his alleged successes. Yet, it seems that objective reality has escaped us when we attribute great achievements to be bestowed upon undeserving  men and women of questionable honor and patriotism. No, this is not about ridicule based upon a dislike of the president over the color of his skin, his ideological affiliations many of which are at odds with a Constitutional American government,  but it is about the lies over his policies, all of which are well documented by his public statements such as “If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor,” or maybe, that health care costs will go down for all families insured under the Affordable Care Act.

Handing it over?

In the final days of the Obama White House which we were assured would reflect concentrating on a smooth transition into a new office for President Elect Trump it seems that everything that could have been done to throw a monkey wrench into the works and fabricate problems for the new administration would more accurately epitomize the changing of the guard on Capitol Hill. Refusing to veto an anti-Israel UN resolution could be construed as one point of contention. Inflaming US and Russian diplomatic relations over flimsy evidence just because it revealed definitive law breaking by Hillary Clinton over e-mails that violated federal law would seem to indicate a vindictiveness that could have been better directed at other threatening sources such as the hostile actions of Iran against the US Navy or Russia's actions in the Crimea. Yet, apparently it's just not fighting words until you mess with the Democrats over their rule of the White House. That's when you go and kick 35 Russian diplomats out of the country! You can get away with anything until you try and keep them out of office.

Coming attractions?

To be sure, many of us will probably be perched on the edge of our seats waiting expectantly to see what other surprises lay in wait for us in the closing days of the Obama White House perhaps thinking of such recent gems as lifting sanctions on Iran so that they can move ahead with their nuclear program while violating UN sanctions or restoring diplomatic relations with a nation that once housed nuclear missiles aimed at the US just 90 miles off our shores while committing a long history of human rights violations against their own citizens (Cuba). Yes, we may very well yet be surprised by further developments in the final days of a failed presidency.
