At this point in time, I would think that most of the people who are going to 'wake up' already have and that most of the rest, even if they do wake up, will not be able to prepare an effective opposition in time. Thus the mad scramble for firearms and ammunition at any price.
What's coming will be fugly and the death toll will be unprecedented. I have no doubt that this government will nuke, starve and gas its own citizens and call in soldiers from other nations to do what its own soldiers refuse to do. Still, despite the death toll, freedom is worth fighting for.
Let the last man standing be a free man (or woman).
