I hear ya DS!

I've been in quite a few competitions similar to this, whether it was for music or drama and many of the competitions were highly biased and were more about a popularity contest than finding real talent.

But alas... I won some and lost some. And, one of my former bands was able to play at Summerfest in Milwaukee 2 years ago for that win. That was one of the coolest experiences I ever had playing in bands.

It would be nice to get into the top 3 in the competition but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. 

I'm more concerned with getting our band out there to be heard because I believe in us! 

I am inspired by the guys in the band, inspired by all the world events going on today, inspired by 12160, inspired by just living and because of this inspiration, I've got to write and create music.

And as I get older, I have to speak my mind through lyrics and let my heart do the singing. I am holding nothing back anymore. CARPE DIEM!

Great... my band is right up there with 'sperm whale explosions.' I'm not sure whether to be horrified or honored quite honestly, LOL. Gotta love ole ning!

@DS... ya think? I'm a bit of a mover and shaker on stage and even off stage. I'm full of energy that I need to tame at times for obvious reasons. The Summerfest stages are plenty big enough  ;)

I'm so proud of my band! No matter if we win anything or not, this was our first gig as a band and I think we rocked it! There will definitely be more gigs to come and a good studio recording of our songs hopefully in the near future!
