Unfortunately, and this is more and more the case, human beings can Choose to be unthinking clock parts. As for part 2, this is why I keep plunging more and more into the very painful realm of augmented intelligence. The only way out of the worst end is, for the common people, to be represented by those who have superior technology. Those without guns could not compete with those who had them. Similarly, if one can turn off the elan vital (life force) of the oligarchs, and the tribe that represents most of them...

This equation proves the "monetary" system is a scam. If creating money out of thin air  wasn't enough, they invented compounding interest. Scam on top of a scam.
