On Friday night, transgender teen Cassidy Lynn Campbell was crowned homecoming queen at a California high school.
Campbell, a 16-year-old student at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, was shocked when blue and gold balloons revealed she had won the crown on Sept. 20, according to KTLA. "I instantly just dropped to the ground and started crying," she said.

Part of the Frankfurt School of Subversion Technique! If they tell you to do things like that, Shoot them!!!
I recently attended a Safe Zone training program at my university. It is designed to help faculty and staff be more aware of LGBT issues and thus create a more welcoming atmosphere. After completing it, one gets a Safe Zone badge that one can stick on one’s door so that anyone who comes there knows that you are accepting of them.
One of the exercises we did at the beginning was the familiar ice-breaker where one pairs up with one’s neighbor and quickly learns enough about them to be able to introduce them to the whole group. But just after we completed the sharing and before we introduced each other to the whole group, the facilitators threw us a curveball and told us to do the introductions without using the pronouns he/she or her/him. It was not easy and there were many stumbles. http://freethoughtblogs.com/singham/2014/03/21/gender-neutral-prono...
Mystery,
I believe that all people, regardless of race, religion or lack of it, have equal right to live but without harming the others and without deceiving anyone. When someone or a group of people invent a justification to oppress the others, that is where the deception starts - with self deception. Those people are wrong.
....I....would have to say all of the above is pretty much spot on. I do see quit a big range of opinions represented here. That is good, it shows a healthy varieties of opinions, from medical expressions to an expression of disgusts, with final result being a life dying.
Does it matter what they are or feel to be to, to anyone else but that individual ? Does how we perceive someones else matter more than how they feel about themselves? Is this not what prejudice is? Who is the one person to judge another?
I think you could be spot on there LP
Back to old athens and rome.
I suspect that the chemicals in plastics, medication, food, water and air are being put there to have a detrimental and finally fatal effect on us. They are attacking us by what could be called chemical weapons. Silent weapons for quiet wars.
A genetic mutation other than psychopathy should not generate so much derision, but then perhaps the derision merely highlights the prevalence of psychopathy or at least the learned psychopathology of the sociopath.
There are those who hate one or more of their limbs feeling that they are alien and not really a part of them (xenomelia) and will go so far as to have the limb or limbs surgically removed if they can find somebody to perform the operation, or purposely damage the limb enough themselves that it will require medical amputation as a method of emergency treatment.
I've often wondered if this and gender identity disorder aren't somehow related through somewhat different abnormalities residing in the same part of the brain.
Guess I am traditional, and think that most football players choose a queen to represent their school, wear. Crown, participate in the homecoming parade etc. Man have we lost something along the way... Its just very sad and disturbing to me but I'm not at all surprised. Give me the good ole days that we have lost.
