Food Safety and Inspection Service United States Department of Agriculture

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced that China is eligible to export processed, cooked chicken to the United States.

The United States is not importing any raw chicken from China.
FSIS has determined that China’s poultry processing inspection system is equivalent to that of the United States, and cooked chicken imported from China would be processed under equivalent conditions as in the United States.

As always, FSIS is fully committed to protecting the nation’s food supply and if China begins exporting processed chicken products to the United States, all food safety steps will be taken as if the products were processed in the United States.

I literally quit eating chicken when I found out the chickens were only 8 weeks old and realized from raising our own chickens, there is no way a home grown chicken gets as big as a store bought chicken in that period of time naturally. Now chickens are being brought in from a country where people have to walk around with masks on their face because of the pollution that hangs in the air.

Yes mystery.  Cornish X Rock are HUGE, we bought them about 3 years ago.  I could not bear to touch them, they were literally gross.  Never again.  They are Baby Huey like in cartoon form.

I buy the OLD school chickens...I totally agree with you. NEVER AGAIN.

I do buy turkey since the industry (except for right now) do not have a huge demand on the turkey meat.  I make all my broth from turkey NOT CHICKENS.

We raise our own turkeys. I am so glad they taste so much better. All of our animals are grown at home. Chickens, turkeys, guineas, ducks, geese, pigs, rabbits, goats so on and so on. The food tastes like I remember when I grew up on the farm as a little kid. The milk, OMG, the milk was so good. It did not make you feel weird either.
