At 10 46 am, the plane dropped rapidly from 30,000 feet to 7,000 feet in about 8 minutes, remained flying at about 6,000 feet for 6 minutes at reduced, landing speed until it flew into a mountain in a controlled manner.

Three Mirage fighter jets were spotted flying over the area several times at the same time as the crash acording to Meolans Revel local councillor, Thierry Brown. Brown said it was unusual to see so many. With no radar data, it will be impossible to verify the whereabouts of the planes.
