Hugh, I surely wouldn't join.  I had My suspicions - I mean...  Anonymous with a web page???  Really?  Heh.  No, I don't think so.

Yeah.  VERY fishy.

Landing in the gulags with the NDAA in force is not so far fetched.

Anonymous operates on the leaderless resistance principle...hate to break it to you, but there is no 'official'* website or club with a membership card and decoder ring.

* a redundant term.

Anonymous is stigmergic.  [smile]  Nebulous, with those who want to be members being members by that very desire.
