Samsung Rumoured To Have Paid $1billion Apple Fine In Pennies

With courts ruling that Samsung owe Apple $1billion for copyright infringement, the South Koreans have reportedly made payment...

It's being reported that 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple's California headquarters this morning. While the security company protecting the offices believed the trucks were in the wrong place, Apple CEO Tim Cook recieved a call from Samsung's CEO explaining that rather than fight the $1billion fine, the South Korean company were going to pay with 20billion coins.

The receipt of $1billion couldn't come in a more annoying fashion if it had been delivered in $1 bills all used for toilet paper before delivery. We're sure any bank in the world would jump at the chance to count Apple's coins but Lee Kun-Hee, Samsung's Chairman reportedly told the media that his company wouldn't be bullied by "geeks with style" offering "You can use your coins to buy refreshments at the little machine for life or melt the coins to make computers, that’s not my problem, I already paid them and fulfilled the law."

If Apple need somebody to count the coins, we're sure we can arrange something. For a tiny percentage of course.

We're sure this story isn't true, but ignoring the obvious slap in the face to the struggling economic world that such a farcical stunt could be pulled when dealing with such incredible sums of money, how hilarious would it be?

How awesome would this be. These folks are making it hand over fist and have to file a law suit, screw apple.
Maybe they should pay them in Gore units. Some carbon credit bucks, yeah that's it.

Samsung dropped the ball on this one....dummies should have paid 'em in Bit-Coins ;)
