You will do good, I have faith in you. I keep as a secret, Epsom Salt that I toss occasionally around the plants. Ask the people around you is the best way, the uneducated farmers, they have better horse sense. Also if soil is like here it changes almost every step. We tried bean back here last year and I wasn't happy. This time though a new planting system. This year too in preparations I've burnt some brush piles too where the garden is.
My favorite garden to grow in I'm giving to my oldest daughter and her family. You will figure it out.
