Gardening
Did you know that almost all seeds bough in every store in the USA and most of the world is owned by one corporation and they have been genetically modified to not produce any seeds?

This is so you have to buy more seeds the next year (So they say)
Not only are hybrid GM seeds sterile and lack nutrition, but the real reason is so you cannot feed you family or yourself in a time of crisis.

Self reliance calls for you to buy your seeds from a company that produces heritage seeds that have not been touched to alter them and will grow and produce seed's after the plant has matured.

IMPORTANT:
These are all-natural seeds, original strains of garden food non-hybrid, not genetically modified.
Most of these seeds date back 150 years. Heirloom offspring seeds can be saved and grown later. Important when people are starving!

I haven't tried Rhubarb juice, but that sounds good. We wanted to build a Hoop House about 28x50 but then mom got sick which took priority then in the middle of this season I had to have the throat surgery I put off when mom got sick, so ours is fairly weedy. The largest area I've kept mowed and may plant there next year some, maybe. We have Garlic to dig, if we can find it, lol.

Looks and sounds delishes. You sound like good neighbors to have.

Reason why the patches look so clean is ive been taking the garden back from 'weeds' that made it more or less impossible to grow properly.

I've been digging up and reducing the two small lawns that were old anyways and also full of 'weeds'. (Ground elders, Yarrows, Thistles, Dandelion, Larger bindweed, Grassland grass, Greater plantains, Soapwort and European wild ginger)

Right now last the last previously years i've been experimenting with different growing patterns permaculture style and it's been very insightfull and a learning experience all the way. It has really taught me to love rain for the first time.

It has been a real dry few months already and when it finally rains it rains hard and spmetimes even becomes small hail storms but luckely most of my plants very still in big pots at the time so i could move them inside.

So far i've only been making rubarb juice. But planning to make a lot when the times comes. Looking forward to taste the first white beans with a proper piece of meat and some will be put in the freezer. 2 other kinds of beans are growing but they are waiting to flower.

Looks good Daniel. I wish ours was that clean. We only done the medium sized area this year and not all of that. 2 daughters moved since last season, 1 has 4 kids, and mom died in Feb so it is just us plus 1 daughter and in-laws, and he had another stroke. We're going to do Sauerkraut and my wife is making her some salsa, she has already done dill pickles and sweet pickle relish. If the beans make they won't can but maybe 7 quarts, freezing squash & okra & sweet bell peppers, and will make some grape jelly (maybe). We let the neighbors pick blackberries around the farm fences, about 1 mile or so, probably give them the grapes this year too. Wife wants to do corn but we will buy that this year. We've been just passing the stuff out to some friends and older people in the area. We have a calf that should have been in the freezer this winter but all 3 are full.

The only fruits and veggies that we have this year is: tomatoes, strawberries, grapes, chives and green beans. We are working with limited space and it is supposedly against park rules to have vegetable gardens so we have to be creative. We've only lived here a few years and it all is a work in progress. There will be much more veggie gardening next year.

I do have some beautiful perennial beds. I love me some colorful flowers. We have some monstrous sunflowers that will be in full bloom in Aug. I'll have to take some pics and share when the time comes.

Heres some white beans, 2 kinds of tomatoes, jerusalem artichokes and patatoes also red current and raspberry in the background.

That one is Banana Melons. Also Okra, Cucumbers, Watermelon, Megan has Gourds in another location. I planted Blue Lake Beans but they don't look like they're going to do all that hot. If they don't no big deal, we're still eating on 2011-2012 beans.
