The Syrian military is prepared to use chemical weapons against its own people and is awaiting final orders from President Bashar Assad, U.S. officials told NBC News on Wednesday.

This will backfire on the US. As soon as they stage a false-flag attack on the Syrians using chemical weapons they hand Iran the perfect political justification to abandon the mutual defense treaty and stay out of Syria.

Syrian troops regain control of more areas in Aleppo
Syrian troops have regained control of more areas in Aleppo from foreign-backed insurgents as security forces killed 180 insurgents and captured 30 others, including 10 snipers, Press TV reports.
The areas were recaptured on Tuesday as part of a major military operation against insurgents fighting against the government of President Bashar al-Assad in the flashpoint northern city.
