Even as calls for nullification of proposed federal health care mandates have intensified on the state level, an almost hysterical effort has arisen to discredit such measures, and paint them as part of an obsolete theory with no bearing on modern politics.
Regardless of its logical descent from our most basic founding principle, that governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed,… Continue
On-the-ground reports show growth in polar bear numbers across much of Canada's Nunavut territory.
Polar bears, the lumbering carnivores of the arctic, continue to be the poster bear – er, child – for global warmers everywhere who are convinced the baby seal munchers are being driven to extinction by man’s irresponsible release of CO2 into the atmosphere.
Next to whales, the cuddly fur balls enjoy a special place on the “Animals to Love” list.… Continue
No one has been less forgiving than Glenn Beck when it comes to Democrats with tax problems. Not just the well-known ones like Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner but also less serious ones such as Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, whose husband only recently paid off $6,400 in tax liens on his auto repair business, and Nancy Killefer, who withdrew her nomination to be White House chief performance officer, citing a $946.69 tax lien on her Washington home.

The liberties of our country….
09. Jan, 2010 Written by: Tom Verne Comments (1)
“The liberties of our country, the freedoms of our civil Constitution are worth defending at all hazards; it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors. They purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood. It will bring a mark of everlasting infamy on the present generation –… Continue

Millions believe the world will end in 2012. Many realize the world is swamped with ever more and greater problems—many proving to be insoluble. Is there hope for mankind beyond 2012? What does the Bible teach?
Here on 12.160 it's easy to get the feeling that we're alone. That we don't have think tanks behind us. That we don't have the intellectual might of great leaders and thinkers. That our fight is one of an individual nature.
That's far from true.
My favorite web site and the one I read every editorial posted on is Global Research. Every day I read every new post and have been doing so for several years. This site, maintained by professor Michel Chossudovsky, a Canadian… Continue

Shock study: 12% of kids sexually abused in govt. custody
Daniel Tencer Raw Story

Some 12 percent of minors held in government custody are sexually abused, and in some facilities the rate reaches a stunning one in three children, says a report released Thursday by the Bureau of Justice Statistics.
If voters in the US or the UK had been given a vote on whether their governments should inject trillions of dollars into their banks (in the form of loans, guarantees and investments), it is pretty likely that those referenda would have been lost.
Most opinion polls indicated that citizens were furious with their banks - and were not persuaded that letting them fail would wreak the kind of economic havoc that would impoverish all of us.
As is typical in the aftermath of this sort of occurrence, there is a maelstrom of stories swirling around Umar Abdulmutallab’s attempt to bomb Northwest Airlines Flight 253 bound from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas Day. Curiously, though, two of these stories are being roundly ignored by most media outlets despite the intriguing facts they contribute to the still poorly defined though compelling narrative of the foiled terrorist attack and the young well-educated Nigerian accused of… Continue
That's right. There are a myriad of scientific essays, networks and individuals pursuing the same science using a variety of methods from climate modeling computers to ice core data and more.
The one thing that stands out is that Cap And Trade is a political and economic scam of vast proportions. I think we can safely assume that opinion.
I've tried to follow the science behind climate change, if there is any climate change and whether the globe is warming or cooling for… Continue

ome six million Americans—one in 50 people in the US—are living on no income other than $100 or $200 a month in food stamps, according to an analysis of state data by the New York Times. The number of people who reported that they are unemployed and receive no cash aid—neither welfare, nor unemployment insurance, pension benefits, child support or disability pay—the newspaper reported, has jumped by 50 percent over the last two years, as the recession has taken hold.
As we seek reliable news, we notice an increasing number of sources have morphed into “Gatekeeper” havens. We have removed our compromised “Links”. This phenomenon has extended its contagion to campaigns we once featured. Thus we are compelled to reassess everything and post observations we have made regarding Gatekeepers. This is our attempt to distill guidelines we have found to be reliable. We do not wish to protect Gatekeepers as they are predators who serve elite interests… Continue
