CDC links medicine to birth defects

Researchers from the Centers for Disease Control, joining a debate about the use of a class of antidepressants during pregnancy, confirmed a link between birth defects and some drugs but not others.

Some NYC officers fail to document stops, monitor says

Some New York City police officers are stopping people for questioning but are not documenting the encounters as required, calling into question the official accounting of a significant decline in stop-and-frisk activity, according to the first report of the federal monitor overseeing the city’s Police Department.
