President Barack Obama declared Monday he would try to block the court-ordered release of photos showing U.S. troops abusing prisoners, abruptly reversing his position out of concern the pictures would "further inflame anti-American opinion" and endanger U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The White House had said last month it would not oppose an appeals court ruling that set a May 28 deadline for releasing dozens of photos from military… Continue

What an over reaction. So I guess the children can't play football, basketball, baseball or any other sport that may expose them to touching others. If this nonsense continues we might as well just sit home and do nothing. The world is to dangerous for us to go outside. We must be protected from ourselves. Children will be afraid to touch each other. Learning what is and is not appropriate is a part of growing up. Now all touching, good and bad are off-limits. This country is creating a society… Continue

I hope that the Media will bring this to the forefront.

In a recent decision that reaches new lows, the weak and neutered Obama administration has bowed to its masters in Israel with regards to the Durban 2, the UN's conference on racism. This news comes on the heels of alleged back and forth dialog between US State Department officials and Israeli officials on some of the language of the text of the Durban 2 document which is critical of Israel's ongoing occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.
A few week ago we posted about ten billboards going up around Albuquerque, NM calling for congress to cut off aid to Israel. They were put up by The Coalition to Stop $30 Billion to Israel, a multi-ethnic, multi-religious coalition working to "end to the ten year commitment of $30 billion in U.S. taxpayer-funded military aid pledged to Israel in 2007 by the Bush administration."
There's gold in that thar sea floor. Silver, copper, zinc and lead, too. The problem is, it's a mile or two underwater and encased in massive mineral deposits that layer a dark, mysterious world. However, new technology and worldwide demand have combined to make mining for these metals economically feasible for the first time.
A breakthrough project is moving forward in New Guinea, and new rules to govern deep ocean mining are being set by an international authority. Scientists,… Continue
