NCLB no child left behind passed in 2002.

Since then there have been many students who have graduated and they are now in the work force.
Please forgive me, but when someone at a cash register cant even count on the proper change it is frustrating and insidious to think how much our current laws are failing our futures.
How can anyone expect a student to succeed if they cant even count, or speak proper English, or know how to draw a pie chart. or basically function at a high school level let alone a forth grade level ?
I find it faulty that the children in school today will be in the work force tomorrow and dont have a clue how to function in society.
What about life skills, there used to be home economics classes. now they graduate get pregnant not even married and they dont know how to sew or wash laundry or cook let alone clean yet they are bringing children into the world with out life skills to rear them.
Instead of graduating with class or sophistication they are passed through with attitudes. So instead of getting a pleasant greeting; there is a snicker or sarcastic remark passed.
Forgive me, I know there are many who passed and earned the grade, but how fair is it for them to be in the same job, and carrying the weight of the classmate who didn't earn their grade, now in the work place and clueless how to preform at their job.
The ones who actually studied and earned their education are now burdened with the fact that they are working in the same society that passed those who didn't earn their education at the same rate as those who did earn their education.
Becoming a burden to not only employers but also society in whole.
