Hello guys and gals, for reason to numerous to name atm, I must end my connection with this site.
If you folks want the site to continue we will need some one to take over, this includes paying the bills with a paypal account . Current cost around 500 a year, with expected cost to nearly double the following year.
To make sure you whom ever takes over is serious about this I would require to see the first year paid for in advance.
Seems a tad of a commitment eh? Well it is, and now it falls on one of you 5000 plus members to either take this on solely or as a group.
I will make last payment in May, after that only fate will tell.

I guess despite what I see as horrible over priced hosting service, the question I submit is it worth it to everyone here to keep going on and how will this be done?

it is happening as i thought. what was once free started to charge, now they will out price us. i can no longer even play vids. on youtube never mind they took down my site as i thought they would after ten yrs. of building info.. again i told ppl. get it while you can as time goes on they will stop us from exposing their deeds.
i wish i could take this over. i have had some horendous things happen to me which took long time for me to realize it was in retaliation that this local gov. took me down for snooping/exposing where they felt the public did nt belong not to mention we made front page. this was something i had been involved w/yrs. prior. but there is no time like the gov.'s time, it goes on and on...
just send in your taxes which is enough for every man woman and child to be a millionaire. hows that for fixing the economy?

Would be a damn shame if 5 years of more or less important info just got driven of the super information highway forever. Not to mention the time in total used by members.
I dont know anything about advertising but maybe the solution to it all is to get a few adds. If a MRE add and a flouride filter add could solve the whole thing and get rid off the bill issue and if some people in here are willing to take on your admin job we are home free.
I dont know if it sounds far out?

Sorry to hear about the overpriced hosting. You have done a great job and the site is really good. I believe there are enough members on this site to share the cost. I mean, if just a hundred people participated it would not be much for each. Why not start a campaign here to start collecting a thousand dollars in a month? Every 50, 20, 10, 5 or even one dollar could add up to maintain the site. I'm ready to pay my share.

Hmm... what a bummer but as all things go in life, where there's a will, there's a way. I'm sure we members can figure out the way. Whether it's paying to stay on ning or transitioning to another site, we can make it so.
As of late, I've little time nor money to contribute. I'm working two jobs now, got two different music projects going and of course family and life stuff keep me quite busy. And I'm still without a computer and not sure when I'll be able to afford another one. Let the good times roll, woot!!! I can't complain really because being busy keeps me out of trouble ;)
Thank you for all you've done here on 12160 James. You rock my friend! You're still my favorite info-ho ;)
