XCLUSIVE: Man born without a penis will finally be able to have sex for the first time after having a £50k bionic manhood fitted... but he'll have to walk around with 10-day erection first
Andrew Wardle, 44, was born without a penis in a one-in-20-million condition
Caterer, from Manchester, has gone through four years of operations to have a bionic penis fitted, costing £50,000 on the NHS
First he had skin taken from his forearm which was rolled into the shape of a penis and attached
Now a pump has been fitted, which will give him an erection at the push of a button
At the final stage of his operation, Mr Wardle will have an erection for ten days before it is deflated
He will then be ready to lose his virginity to his long-term girlfriend, Fedra Fabian
Mr Wardle admitted he is excited that he can 'move on' - but insisted the surgery is not all about sex
'I've spent 44 years without a penis and I've coped with not having sex for all that time. It will take me a while to get in the swing of things,' he told MailOnline
