Of course it was an inside job.

First of all, it absolutely makes no sense that we Americans and our love of guns would carry out an "insurrection" without bringing our guns.

Secondly, the Dems needed the theater to push their agenda of the violent "Right" and the National Guard would have prevented that from happening.

Thirdly, Nancy Pelosi wanted total control of the event and didn't want the National Guard at the Capitol because of Article 1, Section 3, Clause 17 (Enclave Clause).  This is why she is always talking about "the threat to our democracy"...the "Democracy" of the territory of DC and all federal property/territories which is under control of the Legislative branch.  The Capitol Police are under her control and the National Guard is seen by her as a foreign force not in her control and a threat to her "democracy".

Embedded paid agitators like BLM, ANTIFA, and FBI agents filmed in the Capitol Building no wonder they refused to have thousands of hours of surveillance camera footage subpoenaed! It was all a set up to prevent Trump from being able to run for office again and kick their asses!
