Yay!!! Your Papa is on the mend... so good to hear my friend. I wish all the best for you and yours because in my heart I know you are a beautiful person inside and out. You put out good vibes sista and always have :)

Yep, sure makes you feel good to grow things, especially food. I have all kinds of beautiful flowers....I love repotting, digging and planting   Next year my Dad will be able to teach me to ride the John Deere tractor. He has a huge garden plot, i am planning a big garden next year.

I am still with my Dad in Georgia.  I was moving here anyhow but had to hurry here when he got sick. We've gone from the ICU and a death sentence, to getting healthier by the day. Papa is on the mend.

We are in the valley, the mountains surround us and everything grows beautifully here.

Me too Tina... I only had time enough to grow tomatoes because I was working too damn much this summer. I did grow some more amazing sunflowers though, along with beautiful perennials that I've been working to grow in front and along my house for the last few years. It's all a work in progress :)

Right on Maasanova. Gardening and digging your hands in the dirt is therapeutic. And seeing the fruits of your labor spring up and out of the dirt is what it is all about. Nature does give back and then some if you nurture it.

Yep, Jason Brown is one big fella and Football is a very physical sport where most guys end up with a myriad of injuries throughout their careers which leave them with many aches and pains. They have to find other passions in life eventually.

I love this story. Jason Brown is a 'diamond in the rough', literally. He is a genuinely good person imo.

When I was in high school, I used to go to my step dad's farm and pick sweet potato's right around this time of year. Indeed, something was very therapeutic about getting your hand in the earth and pulling up vegetables.

Jason Brown probably took a look at some of the other guys his size when they were all worn out and with their bodies breaking down and thought "f-that!"

From what I've heard farming can be very difficult for the layperson with limited resources but its a whole different story if you've got a few million set aside and time to learn.
