NASHVILLE --- Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security Commissioner Bill Gibbons and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director Mark Gwyn announced Thursday that the Tennessee Fusion Center has been named Fusion Center of the Year by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

20-year-old Ron Weekley Jr. is claiming police brutality, after four LAPD officers pounced on the Xavier University student while he was skateboarding in front of his home.
Weekley was skateboarding in front of his home on Saturday afternoon when he claims four LAPD officers used excessive force to arrest him.
KTLA spoke to Weekley, who was jailed for resisting arrest, moments after he was released on Monday morning.
