There’s a new normal in the American economy for vast slices of society and it’s discouragingly tough, despite all the cheerleading from the White House and economists that the country is in a slow but steady recovery. Plain and simple, very much like the GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) labeling laws passed in Connecticut, the consumers in California have the right to know what goes into their food via explicit and state government mandated food ingredient labeling. GMO food consumption must be a choice made by the consumer in California, not a choice to be pushed down by any food or ingredient company (e.g. Monsanto).
