I can vouch for this being truth as my family has maintained life within the limits set up by the law. yet recently one family member had a slight lapse in judgement and fell weak (made a mistake) without anyone telling him he felt regret and sought professional help regarding his short comings.. he began attending school to get his degree  on the honors list.. smart but lived a very protected lifestyle.. never dated  never attended high school made it into college at age 16 didnt drive until he was 21 gave up school to help his mother out when she was not able to support them,,, not the typical life of a problem child showed great promise.. but HAHAHAHA  months later he was arrested, asked for a call to his lawyer...  was threatened and told he would not be allowed  a call until he signed a spoon fed confession.. then later was attacked in jail and denied access to a pencil to request a public defender (which are worthless) they seized items of his brothers at their place of work without a warrant (which was a private residence for mentally disabled adults ) none of the items were listed on the initial warrant for home address.. are now held by them and he can not obtain them. he was railroaded and now the DA says they have all their ducks in a row any jury will convict.. so he will do a couple years or more time..  for something he was told by his attorney that he shouldnt have any problem with the issue he was involved in.. but because he was raised to trust the system when he was threatened he decided to trust the wrong people.. even though his mother told him to trust the lawyer and not say anything they threatened him and  then the DA says they dont have cameras in the interrogation rooms  i know they have them in the cars which is where he first asked to make the call... but they have him where they want him and he has given up doesnt want the family name dragged through trial and the muddy paper which posts everything in it good for wrapping fish nothing more. I have a paralegal  degree and know for fact according to the letter of the law.. most of this was done illegally.. but when they all wipe each others arses.. then there is little one can do to change the outcome.. I do not know what goes on inside a police station as far as cameras and such but i do know proper procedure on warrants and civil rights  and the list of wrongdoings  makes me sick.. any comments you may share with me in regard to this I can go more into detail of course but i would prefer not to share on an open forum ..

I was a Deputy in Texas for over 10 years, and the thanks I got was to be fired or resign! I spoke out against some incidents where other Deputies abused their authority on others! Now I can't get another job in Law Enforcement because they have black balled me thus ending my career, and livelihood! All the Sheriffs and Police Chiefs are buddies and if one if them doesn't like you your finished! As for the Criminal Justice System it's a joke, and that's from somebody looking from inside. Word of advice stand up for yourself do not say anything to the Police THEY ARE NOT THERE TO HELP YOU! They are there to build a case against you so that the Prosecution can convict you! Advise them that you have a 5th Amendment Right to remain silent, and say NOTHING! Claiming the 5th doesn't mean your automatically guilty like they would have you think! It means your smarter than the average Joe who will incriminate themselves unknowingly, because they think the Police are interested in knowing why you are innocent! Remember your going against trained Professionals, who have been interrogating people for over 10 to 30 years sometimes. Your not going to win, and they will make you say things that will make you appear guilty! Case law supports using the 5th Amendment even if your innocent.

my personal experience concerning this matter  is that corruption is overcoming the system and it is well embedded and knowledgeable as to how to corner and trap people into a never ending injustice within our system. when those who control our system are corrupt there is no way to win when they deny our civil rights  manipulating the system as criminals do in order to punish those who do not have money or power. I am speaking of many people i know of that are serving time due to the system and corruption. denied their legal right to call a lawyer, or on the word of a person any person, with no evidence : material  or otherwise     just testimony from one person for whatever their reason attention the lime light. they are convicted today without as much as a testimony from one person like i said denied a phone call force into confessions. they take advantage of the youth of today who were raised to respect law enforcement and they are the last ones any one should trust. a good 95% are corrupt in my honest opinion.. or maybe this is just small town nonsense i am living in a nightmare.. please tell me if I am delusional.. i have lost much hope more recently since this has come down on my own family .. no one in my family tree has ever had a run in with the law.. no one until last year and now the night mare is more than i can stand...

Tara, I'm so familiar with what you just said. There are a couple of people who I personally know and who understand the situation at least somehow. First of all we have to concentrate on ourselves, getting informed and still not falling into apathy. There are positive news popping up more and more. People are waking up. Let's hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
