As predictied chatango chat is dead -stick a fork in it done. I plan to remove them from the site, any issues with this?

If things get ugly it is because of "cognitive infiltrations". When productive discussions are taking place, or trying to take place, infiltrators arrive as a false social group and begin to "get ugly" working to get the place "closed down", or dismiss "useful information for gaining more truth".
You will see they refuse to use evidence and promote sensational info, provable as misinfo, or actions that can produce no official action. Basically distractions. I have a thread about it and have just examined your chat, quite infested as far as I can discern.

Chat has it's place, but it seems to be for intense debate rather than considered discussion. I've not participated much in chat, but think that if a large group are trying to get on the same page and get their specific qeustions answered chat could be a great service.
On the other hand considered discussion that has images in the body of the post can make points tied together much better than what is carried in the text of chat. After a discussion has been properly (logically carried out) it sits around an people read it, then decide the information seems worthy of futher inquiry where upon the chat becomes the tool because spontaneous inquiry might answer more questions than most people have ready, or ask questions they had not thought of.

How is using rules from the jblood radio show going to help?

I joined the jackblood.com forum not because it had much traffic but because I had actually called Jack Blood on his radio show and he promptly hung up as soon as I mentioned the concrete core. Social fears are so strong that when information is widely accepted, even though it is shown to be useless for intended purposes, other information rejected, will not be used. Not because it is illogical, but because people in social groupings, even on the web, are afraid to be seen entertaining the information.

My first post stated I was being banned for posting reason an evidence or logically using a failure to utilize reason and evidence as supporting "secret methods of mass murder". "Dr. No" an administrator there, assured me that I would not be banned for such activity.

I was banned within 2 weeks. A member there with the username, "Jack Blood" had posted once or twice, but never offered any evidence for the steel core columns or directly opposed my information.

I was banned from there for posting evidence and demanding others do the same.

Citizen, no worries friend! What I've seen and observed from you has been nothing but pleasant and very friendly. You are a valued member.

I believe the greatest issue with any chat is that something is lost, especially the connection we have on a human to human level. Text has no soul, at least to me it doesn't. Moreover, many feel they can act the fool or say anything without regard for others thoughts or feelings without any reprocussions. How easy that it is when done behind the comfort of their own computer. In the real world many arses would be kicked for the same behavior.

Yes Citizen, with all good things....some must come to an end but it doesn't mean they can not be resurrected. I believe that we have all learned from our experiences in chatango and it's time to move on. Leaving ning and chatango is bittersweet but it's the beginning of another journey to finding ourselves as a site and truly making a leap into the unknown on our own. IT'S ALL GOOD!

ah well, all good things come to an end, but it seems the miserable things go on and on and on... but seriously, it seems this is the fate of all chat rooms. maybe best to leave em be i suppose. i cant help but feel some responsibility for the way things have gone. should have been friendlier i suppose.

Adam, for the moment, this post is moot. The people and moderators that were having issues have either left or dont use the shitango chat anymore.

As for me, the thrill is gone, (at least for now) .

Frankly its been an anti friendly vibe in there.
I and most of the former regulars have been a part of a slow dumbing down of the chat, in fact general courtesy is gone for the most part.

I note (we) people come and go with out a hello or good bye, refuse to reply to the hellos from others and/ or ignore certain individuals willfully or simply by not carrying to pay attention.

Anons have been shun as if they are harboring the plague and/ or run off being suspected as a troll .

I guess a good suggestion would be to treat others as you would like to be treated.

The two chat rooms solution was a miserable failure.
It seems that two choices is one too many for most people .

There is some good news ... we dont need to baby sit the rooms 24/7 any more. I have always maintained that I rather see the room die a slow death rather than see the ego driven drama in there each day.

Oh and PS, the chat rooms were switched back to the original . The moderated chat will remain where it is today- as it was in the beginning. This was done due to our missing people that come from search engines.
No trolls were involved with this decision :)
