Armed bystander stops stabbing outside school

SAN ANTONIO - A woman is in critical condition after she was stabbed outside her child's school Tuesday morning.

The attack happened around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday outside the Bonham Academy on St. Mary's Street. Teresa Barron, 38, had just dropped off her child at the school when the child's father showed up, and the two got into an argument. The child's father, 38-year-old Roberto Barron allegedly then stabbed the woman several times in the upper body and neck area.

Police say a bystander who happened to be a concealed handgun license holder pulled his weapon and ordered Barron to drop the knife. Barron surrendered and was taken into custody by the bystander and a school district officer.

I agree 100% Ivy! He'll end up serving a minimal jail sentence and the whole time be stewing with anger and revenge.... a ticking time bomb.

I hope you don't own a gun. Restraint is KEY when having the power to end a life not to mention the pain in the royal ass it is to deal with in court. YES killing someone even in self defense goes and STAYS on your record. He did the right thing. shhoting 1st and asking questions later attitudes can get innocent people shot. There are police in Oakland Ca who feel the need to draw their gun on every black teenager with this same logic.

If the Good Samaritan would have shot the assailant, the assailant's defense attorney would have done everything he could to mess up justice in making the shooter seem like the instigator. Many police and Good Samaritans get screwed royal by doing the right thing.

Bet that doesn't make the news. I totally agree with Ivy, but the person with the weapon done the right thing, and Tara is probably right. Here we have a woman who plotted to have a young man commit a murder to her lover, an older man, when she found out he was changing his will. She dropped him off with a key and picked him up after he bashed the old man's skull in and tossed him downstairs to bleed out. Her sentence, 6 years, of which she will serve only 30%, plus 2 day for every day she works while in prison. They figure maybe a 1-1/2. The young man, about 30 years, of which he will spend probably 10 years at most. Second thought, yep, should have shot him.
