Social-networking websites may have started out as online cliques where friends could swap opinions on music, pop culture and other bits of innocuous personal trivia. But as the conflict in Gaza has unfolded, it's becoming evident that… Continue

January 12, 2009 "Information Clearinghouse" --- As an American citizen, born and raised in Gary, Indiana, I want America to be the beacon for democracy that Ialways felt we were and that or government said we were. Unfortunately, as I look at the world from events in my lifetime, it appears that after we defeated Hitler and Japan, we forgot about our true mission of democracy and its attendant morality.
The United States unfortunately, has a long record… Continue

Anonymous: Still Alive from blue on Vimeo.
For a full year, Anonymous has battled the Church of Scientology online and on the street. From humble beginnings, an army awoke almost overnight determined to end Scientology's systematic abuses of the legal system to infringe on the right to freedom of speech and information.
So yet again the people of the virtual-concentration camp, known officially as 'Gaza', are being bombarded from the sky and from the ground by the bully-boys of Tel…
The Radio Science Lab in Mayfair Apt will be suffering a great Depression when it comes to updating to
digital communications equipment. The TV Broadcast bands on most of the radios will be inaccessable which means DXing for band openings to TV stations will make FM DXing hard. Let's hope that NOAA weather radio does not need to be digital. Everything in the station is all analog since 1992. The equipment here in the station is the following. The only thing thats updated is the Weather… Continue

in World War II
Susan L. Smith
During World War II, scientists funded by
the United States government conducted
mustard gas experiments on 60,000

January 09, 2009 "BBC" -- -Israeli forces shelled a house in the Gaza Strip which they had moved around 110 Palestinians into 24 hours earlier, the UN quotes witnesses as saying.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) called it "one of the gravest incidents" since the beginning of the offensive.
The shelling at Zeitoun, a south-east suburb of Gaza City, on 5 January killed some 30… Continue
Two months ago we denied the presidency to a man who, for a few votes, forsook a long opposition to torture and pledged his America would continue the barbarity. This month we evict from the White House its resident torturer. These are victories worth celebrating, but they are tempered by having elevated to the White House, as we learn weekly that we have, another torturer.
In 1968, Amory Bradford penned a volume entitled Oakland’s Not For Burning, documenting the tinderbox that the city had become, and the lamenting the inevitability with which it would explode. But the assertion contained in the book’s title was hardly credible, coming as it was from a Yale-educated former Wall Street lawyer and New York Times general manager whose… Continue
