Oh the irony...
The Washington Post reported:

British explorer Ranulph Fiennes on Monday pulled out of  an expedition to cross Antarctica during the region’s winter after  developing frostbite — a bitter disappointment for an adventurer who had spent years preparing for one of the last great polar challenges.

The official position of the climate establishment is that global warming is still definitely on and the flat temperatures seen for the last 14 years or so are just a statistical fluke of the sort to be expected when trying to measure such a vast and noisy signal as world temperatures with such precision.

The NCDC (an agency of NOAA) publishes global ocean temperature records, which confirm that global warming of the oceans did not cause Hurricane Sandy - in fact, their most recent temperature measurements reveal that ocean temperatures have actually remained flat over last 15 years (thru September 2012), while CO2 levels have increased

A federal court threw out a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rule aimed at cutting pollution from coal-fired power plants, dealing a blow to the Obama administration’s efforts to curb harmful emissions.

The U.S. Court of Appealsin Washington in a 2-1 ruling today struck down the EPA’s cross-state air pollution rule, saying the agency illegally imposed federal authority over state air pollution programs. The court sided with more than three dozen challengers to the measure, which caps emissions in more than two dozen states. The rule had been put on hold by the court in December while it considered the regulation’s legality.

“It is not our job to set environmental policy,” Circuit Judge Brett Kavanaugh wrote in the 60-page opinion. “Our limited but important role is to independently ensure that the agency stays within the boundaries Congress has set. EPA did not do so here.”

Carbon Taxes and Climate Fraud (The Australian Carbon Tax Debate)

The "Australian Carbon Tax" is completely unnecessary. Most significantly there are huge contradictions between the global warming claims being made in the media, in support of the tax, and the hard science that is used to support the position. The problem for those advocating a human induced warming hypothesis is the undistorted long-term temperature record plus recent monitoring that shows much hotter conditions during the last two thousand years and a cooling during the last decade. The correlation between human carbon producing activity and climate change is not at all established.
