Why did the police punish bystanders?
Commentary: Tom Whipple
Rob was a predictably tedious anarchist, with tediously predictable views. Standing beneath a hanged effigy of Sir Fred Goodwin, he explained how the police work. “They aren’t here for us, they’re here for the bankers,” he told me. “But mainly, they are here for a…

G20 protests: Riot police, or rioting police?
At the G20 protests in London only one group appears to be looking for violent confrontation – and it's not the protesters
The trouble-makers are out in force again. Dressed in black, their faces partly obscured, some of them appear to be interested only in violent confrontation. It's almost as if they are deliberately raising the temperature, pushing and pushing until a fight kicks off. But this isn't some disorganised rabble:…

It was 6:30 am. I was asleep. The dog wanted out anyway… AND she was showing off her legs in the process.
Mostly by stepping on my head, but that’s beside the point. The licking and yipping in my ear was pure bonus, as far as she was concerned.
I had no choice, right?
So got up and wandered to the patio door. It was a fresh new dawn outside, just first-light. The birds were chirping, the squirrels were gamboling around on the lawn and fences...
No problem,…

I work hard so that my children can eat;
Due to the economic crisis I have to worry about where they will sleep;
We've been dealt a bad hand, and all our government can think about is a new bail out plan;
You want to stimulate the economy with money that does not exist, this country is already in massive debt but still they insist;
I work hard so that I can some day retire and reap the fruits of my labor, but now I'm told to put on the shackles and chains;
I'll be…

Tomorrow, the 2nd April 2009 will see representatives of the financial controllers of the world meet in London for the G-20 Summit. These representatives of Global Usury hide behind the façade of democracy, but the proof of how ‘democratic’ they are can be seen in the security measures they have put in place to keep the enraged public at bay.
The British Police,…

I recieved an email from my eldest daughter's school today, stating they were going to take her fingerprints for a new biometric print reader they're introducing into the canteen.
They weren't asking for permission, just that they were going to do it in the near future!
i have sent an email back stating that I do NOT give my permission for this to happen!
