Religion is very important to a lot of people, but if expressed publicly, can be a major detriment to the truth movement. Again, religion in itself is not necessarily bad for the movement, but when you coincide beliefs with facts, you form an instant contradiction that discredits all further discussions.
Religion is defined as follows:
“A religion is a system of human thought which usually includes a set of narratives, symbols, beliefs and practices that give meaning to… Continue

Protecting brother Bush. Trying to hold onto the power they have gained. They know the Constitution and morality does not allow for torture. Torture does not work...period. If the information is not known and the person (victim) thinks he is going to die if something is not said, he will make it up. In addition, if the victim tells the truth, such as he does not know, and says so he is believed to be lying. Then the torture stops when the lies start, not the truth. Maybe it is time for… Continue

I’m inclined to think of George Orwell and F. A. Hayek at the same time. Both showed great courage in writing the truth, undaunted by the consequences awaiting them. Both valued freedom, though they understood it differently.
Orwell, a man of the “left,” could not remain silent in the face of the horrors of Stalinism. Twice — during the Spanish Civil War and again at the dawn of the Cold War — he refused to permit his comrades to blind themselves to where their collectivism… Continue
If you have a spare evening, read the Magna Carta. It is a restraining document. What leaps out from the pages of Langton’s text is the intent to protect subjects from… Continue

Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen – or is it? For AGW fanatics this was supposed to be the climactic moment, the Machtergreifung that would initiate global government and penal taxes through which the… Continue
If Congress manages to pass a health-insurance bill in the next few weeks, it will undoubtedly require every person to have medical coverage or pay a fine. If someone's employer doesn't offer a policy, he will be obligated to buy one for himself no matter how expensive. (Subsidies will be available to lower- and middle-income people.)
Coverage is not likely to be cheap because the bill that President Obama signs will also undoubtedly mandate that "basic" coverage contain far more… Continue

It's a fantasy.
A facade.
An Illusion.
A masquerade.
A charade.
A dream.
A chimera.
A trompe l'oeil.
A deception.
It's a trick.
I'm laughing. This can't be happening. I must be dreaming.
The Sunday Times of London laments the poor state of the Afghan security forces, with a long piece headed: "Corrupt, untrained, underpaid, illiterate: the forces waiting to take over."
This is by no means the first article to draw… Continue

If you read through the package inserts for the injectable, inactivated flu vaccines, you will find the following paragraph:
"Specific levels of HI antibody titers post-vaccination with inactivated influenza virus vaccine have not been correlated with protection from influenza virus. In some human studies, antibody titers of 1:40 or greater have been associated with protection from influenza illness in up to 50% of subjects."
What that paragraph explains is that, to the… Continue

More than half of Britons being offered vaccination against pandemic H1N1 flu are turning it down because they fear side effects or think the virus is too mild to bother.
A survey of more than 100 family doctors indicated that there was widespread resistance from patients, and that on average only 46 percent of those offered the vaccination agree to have it.
Doctors reported particular difficulties in persuading pregnant women to be vaccinated against the… Continue

The fight over global warming science is about to cross the Atlantic with a U.S. researcher poised to sue NASA, demanding release of the same kind of climate data that has landed a leading British center in hot water over charges it skewed its data.
Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, said NASA has refused for two years to provide information under the Freedom of Information Act that would show how the agency has shaped its climate data… Continue

Ah, yes, the SDS. Smells like the sixties to me. It’s about freakin’ time!
Rochester Students for a Democratic Society marched on city streets late Friday afternoon to protest Obama’s troop surge in Afghanistan and the US presence in Iraq. Funk the War 3 went off without the controversy and violence of SDS’ October march, which led to a hostile confrontation with police and the arrests of several SDS members. Rochester had its share of demonstrations last week, with two antiwar… Continue

This isn't just about Iraq. It's about Kosovo, Bosnia, Herzogovinia and Kuwait. It's also about Scotland, the UK and the United States.
The reason is that DU effects humans on a cellular level, it effects humans even after it's completely gone from the body, it's taken up by plants and animals so it enters the food chain, it migrates with the wind even only in areas where it's being used in tests, it effects the wives of soldiers via birth defects, and it never goes away. It's a fine… Continue

Six doctors who believe government scientist David Kelly was murdered have launched a ground-breaking legal action to demand the inquest into his death is reopened.
They are to publish a hard-hitting report which they claim proves the weapons expert did not commit suicide as the Hutton Report decided.
They have also engaged lawyers to write to Attorney General Baroness Scotland and the coroner Nicholas Gardiner calling for a full re-examination of the circumstances of his… Continue

With New Surge, One Thousand U.S. Soldiers and $300 Million for Every One al Qaeda Fighter
As he justified sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan at a cost of $30 billion a year, President Barack Obama's description Tuesday of the al Qaeda "cancer" in that country left out one key fact: U.S. intelligence officials have concluded there are only about 100 al Qaeda fighters in the entire country.
A senior U.S. intelligence official told ABCNews.com the approximate… Continue
