March 14, 2010 Afghanistan produces about 90 percent of the world's supply of opium poppies, the
plant used to make heroin. About half of that supply comes from the
Helmand province. Earlier efforts by NATO forces to destroy the poppy
crops were…

Maasanova,
I read around on the internet all of the time to try and get a sense of where we actually stand in this information war. I follow a few blogs that genenerally geared towards African American political discussions and I came across a ridiculous piece of baseless propaganda by writer, editor, rapper, producer and actor… Continue

David Kaiser, a prolific historian, put it this way in a recent article. There seems to be a disturbing undercurrent taking hold and gaining momentum where events are accelerating toward a centralized purpose. This is paraphrase of his content. Basically, Kaiser is taking a look at history in the 20th Century repeating itself. He uses his expertise in recognizing sociopolitical patterns that can reoccur if left unchecked such as the rise of tyrants who speak the lies that a confused society…

In a school system that doesn't cater to BRILLIANCE and the gifted and seriously intellectual students are BORED OUT OF THEIR MINDS misbehavior is misjudged and simply not tolerated.
Were I a teacher I would immediately recognize the signs. This student is bored because the subject matter and content of what I'm teaching is way below her natural abilities. I'd tell her so she understood why she was bored. Not in America, obey, just shut-up and obey. That's all we're…

There was no profanity, no hate. Just the words, "I love my friends Abby and Faith. Lex was here 2/1/10 :)" scrawled on the classroom desk with a green marker.
A GREEN MARKER! It wasn't carved into the desk with a 6" knife. It could be washed off!Alexa Gonzalez, an outgoing 12-year-old who likes to dance and draw, expected a lecture or maybe detention for her doodles earlier this month. Instead, the principal of the…

Six year old suspended for hand gesture … no, not that hand gesture, one much more benign. A six-year-old Michigan boy was suspended for making a gun gesture with his hand.
That’s right, hoplophobia and Big Brother Nanny-ism has reached a new low in Michigan. From Fox News: Erin Jammer, said her son, Mason, was just…

The year is 2010 and to anyone not in denial, the industrialized nations have entered the greatest calamity the world has ever known:
- 35 Million Americans on Food Stamps: 12 Percent of U.S. Population on Food Stamps Highest Since Records Kept in 1969, and that’s before the Obama administration announced a planned three-year budget freeze

In a giant auction, the federal government has agreed to sell for pennies on the dollar most of the 120,000 formaldehyde-tainted trailers it bought nearly five years ago for Hurricane Katrina victims. But the sale of the units, perhaps the most visible symbol of the…

The immigration issue is a divisive one.
Personally I see illegal immigrants as hard working law abiding people struggling to survive in an increasingly difficult world where borders are porous running from oppression to a country that can't survive without their labor. Without them the lettuce that's already on your table at $2 a head would be $4. The tomato's for your salad? You probably couldn't afford them. But that's not the point.
A bill is quietly working its way…

This is about Opium and 9/11. Give the retired General some slack. His English isn't perfect but his sense of reality is right on and he's not afraid to speak out. Many of you know my position since I've stated it clearly here many times. His position and my own are identical and as I read across the internet and interact with people as well I realize most of us, 1000s of us, maybe millions of us have the same perceptions based on the overwhelming evidence.
Here's what the General has…
