Thanks to Stephanie Gaskell, New York Daily News Staff writer, we read of the above’s shocking news, which New York City and the US governments seemingly refuse to let sink into their thick heads and even thicker skin. Thousands of first responders are in dire health conditions, and consequently dire financial and familial conditions, due to illnesses contracted while working at…

Today, the director of the Congressional Budget Office warned the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee that proposed climate change legislation would impose "significant costs" on America's GDP and employment. That’s not exactly what proponents had promised.
According to CBO chief Douglas Elmendorf, the Waxman-Markey bill passed in the House last June would reduce GDP by between one and three quarters of a percent by 2020, and between 1 and…

Majority of Nobel jury 'objected to Obama prize'
(AFP) – 1 hour ago
OSLO — Three of the five members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee had objections to the Nobel Peace Prize being awarded to US President Barack Obama, the Norwegian tabloid Verdens Gang (VG) reported Thursday.
"VG has spoken to a number of sources who confirmed the impression that a majority of the Nobel committee, at first, had not decided to give the peace prize to Barack Obama," the newspaper…

Rampant corporate greed caused the global financial crisis, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd says.
Speaking at a function for the Brotherhood of St Laurence in Melbourne, exactly a year after he announced the first emergency measures to combat the local effects of the global meltdown, Mr Rudd blamed corporate executives for creating the worst economic downturn in 75 years.
"Tonight, around the world there are tens…

The End of Money and the Future of Civilization
Review of Thomas Greco's book
by Richard C. Cook
It’s too late for anyone to pretend that the U.S. government, whether under President Barack Obama or anyone else, can divert our nation from long-term economic decline. The U.S. is increasingly in a state of political, economic, and moral paralysis, caught as it were between the “rock” of protracted recession and the “hard place” of terminal government…

Americans are still more dim-witted than their European neighbors when it comes to scrutinizing products coming off industrial assembly lines, especially vaccines and pharmaceutical drugs. It proves the high effectiveness of the vaccine industrial complex’s marketing schemes through our government and corporate media.
At this moment, health care professionals in the UK are increasingly spurning the H1N1 vaccine. Some hospitals are showing as low as 10 percent of staff and 10 percent…

I learned about James Traficant about the same time I learned about Ron Paul in the mid 90's. They became my favorite Congressmen from their respective parties. I was a republican at the time so I followed Ron Paul more closely. I lost touch with both of them after 9-11. By 2004, I was done with politics period. Ron Paul cured my apathy in 2007. The revolution needs a breath of fresh air and I think James Traficant is that new energy. If Ron…

Lynn de Rothschild
Take a quick look at her pedigree, and you wouldn’t think de Rothschild, wife of Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, could be this hard-nosed. She is rich, charming and beautiful. Portfolio has called her the “the flashiest hostess in London.”
But look closer and you’ll find an iron will. Some Londoners call her “Lady Lynn de Pushy.”
She has long been a power player, counting the Clintons and Tony Blair as good friends. Former husband Andrew…

We all are aware of the dangers of the flu vaccines. The H1N1 seems to be the "weapon of choice" at this time so I have a message from Dr. Russell Blaylock to share. This is the answer he gave a woman who asked him to explain the dangers of the "gov. jab." Included is Dr. Blaylock's bio.

The Third Amendment to the U.S. Constitution provides that “no Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.”
Obviously, the Third Amendment has little relevance today. But what is relevant for us today is the mindset that underlay the passage of that amendment – a mindset of deep antipathy toward militarism and…

The official explanation for Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize is that the Norwegians are using the Nobel as an incentive for the president to fulfill what many see as his bright promise and a kind of prophylactic against a repeat of Bush-era warmongering. After all, how could a recipient of the Peace Prize engage in the kind of brazen militarism that has characterized U.S. foreign policy in the post-9/11 era?
Easy – do it on the…

Pictured: The Independence Day-shaped cloud hovering in the skies over Moscow
By Daily Mail Reporter
In what could have been a scene from the film Independence Day, a luminous ring-shaped cloud could be seen hovering over the city of Moscow last week.
The pale gold 'halo' could be seen above the Russian capital city's Western District on Wednesday, and was captured on film by stunned Muscovites.
Meteorologists rejected any theories of the supernatural…
