21 Survival Items to Look for at Yard Sales, Thrift Stores and Garage Sales

I have to admit, I’ve always been a sucker for yard sales and garage (or garbage depending on your attitude) sales.  I know, it’s tempting to think: “Why should I want to buy any of that stuff, if they don’t even want it?”  Well, as the cliche goes; one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and you can find some really useful survival items at yard sales, as well as older items that you just can’t find anymore, or aren’t made as sturdy as they used to back in the day.…

"Detroit’s getting better — sure, there are neighborhoods that have problems, but they’ve been that way for 30 or 40 years."

NBC News Relied on Months of Secrecy To Get Snowden Interview

By BILL CARTER - MAY 27, 2014

Brian Williams met Edward J. Snowden in the Kempinski Hotel in Moscow last week after months of negotiations between NBC News and intermediaries for Mr. Snowden.

As Mr. Williams described it, the back story of the interview contained its own quotient of cloak-and-dagger activity, including unannounced plane travel, lost luggage, hotel bookings under assumed names and two days sequestered in a room with a view of Red Square.…

Tell the Democratic Governors Association what you think of them!

The Obama shills at the DGA are trying to drum up support for Political Organizer Mr. Obama, they ask for donations and for $5 they will send you a 'Dump the Tea Party' bumper sticker.

I hope they didn't order to many, I don't think they will move a lot of them. I did drop them a line…

Daily Bible Verse

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

– 2 Peter 3:8-9 (NIV)

Farah / WND: Time to Welcome Snowden Home to a Ticker Tape Parade!

The man who blew the whistle on National Security Agency spying on Americans says he’s considering returning home to the U.S. if an amicable agreement with U.S. authorities can be found.

I say we should throw the guy a ticker-tape parade.

I didn’t always feel this way. When the story of Edward Snowden’s revelations first broke, I wondered about his motivations. I worried that he could be jeopardizing some national security secrets – the kind that could cost innocent…
